Orcas Island, one of the San Juan Islands located

in the Salish Sea between the Washington State

mainland and Canada’s Vancouver Island,

averages only 26 – 28 inches of rain each year,

areas. In fact, the San Juan Islands average 247

days of sunshine yearly, compared to Seattle’s

58 days. With excellent schools and community

facilities, plus thousands of acres of protected

parkland, numerous lakes and a thriving business

community Orcas offers a well-rounded living
