JTB-SERIES BALL SCREW JACK
* JTB-Series Ball Screw Jacks use the same worm gear set arrangement as machine screw jacks. The addition of a
high efficiency and high precision ball screw and a ball nut reduces the required input torque to approximately
one-third the torque required of the machine screw jacks.
* The worm gear driven ball screw jack incorporates a heat treatment standard #45 steel worm which drives a high
strength bronze worm gear set and a ball nut. The worm shaft is supported on anti-friction deep groove ball bearings
with external seals provided to prevent loss of lubrication. Lubrication with synthetic grease ep2 lithium grease. The
bronze worm gear set and a ball nut is supported on anti-friction ball thrust bearings. Rotation of the bronze worm
gear and a ball nut causes the lifting ball screw to translate or rotate, depending upon jack configuration. The jack
housing is made of ductile iron and proportioned to support the rate capacity of the unit. The lifting ball screw is made
of high strength hardened ball bearing steel, This rolling action reduces friction between the ball nut and the lifting
ball screw permitting smooth and efficient movement of the load. Because of the greater efficiency and rolling action,
the lifting ball screw can operate at higher speeds and higher duty cycle when compared with the machine screw
jacks. When a JTB-Series Ball Screw Jacks is motorized, less horsepower is required than an equivalent size
machine screw jacks.
* JTB-Series Ball Screw Jacks major configuration devides the jacks into translating ball screw jacks, lifting nut
rotating ball screw jacks, anti-rotation keyed ball screw jacks (with square tubes), anti-backlash ball screw jacks,
double clevis ball screw jacks etc. Upright and inverted type ball jacks. Standard lifting ball screw end types such as
top flange (top plate), clevis end (male clevis), threaded end and plain end, also can custom to make kinds of lifting
ball screw ends.
* JTB-Series Ball Screw Jacks without self-locking, will backdriving after attached loads, and need brake mechanism
or locking system for holding the loads. Lifting force from 1 ton to 35 ton. Single lead and high lead ball screw are
available. Linear speeds up to 6.75 m/min. Can be driven by motors, hand wheels or both together, 8 sizes in two
gear ratios for high and slow linear speeds. Can be mounted in any attitude. Generally maintenance free.
* JTB-Series Ball Screw Jacks are used wherever controlled lifting, lowering, pushing and pulling is required. They
can be installed single unit, in pairs or multiple units ball screw jack lifting systems simultaneously lifting. Accessories
such as electric motors with brake, hand wheels, digital counters, flex couplings, bevel gearboxes, bellow boots, limit
switches, drive shafts, pillow blocks, flange blocks, stop nuts, gear motors with brake, worm gear reducer with brake,
rod ends etc.
