Conference Opening, Meet and Greet, & Charity Benefit Dinner (self pay)

Location:Shakers Restaurant,601 Fair Oaks Ave, South Pasadena, CA

Shakers is an old-style diner that is hosting a special Charity Night Event for EMERGENCY USA. This event is

open to the public, and anyone who indicates that they are there in support of EMERGENCY USA will have

25% of their meal payment dedicated to EMERGENCY USA. A section of the restaurant will be reserved for

1. International programs overview panel 10:00 AM12:00 PM

Special guest presenters will talk about experiences working, visiting, and filming on site at each of the

programs of EMERGENCYworldwide.

2. Overview of EMERGENCY USA's actions, initiatives 12:0012:30 PM

A survey of EMERGENCY USAs organizational structure, accomplishments, direction and brief committee

and volunteer group overview.

3. EMERGENCY USA and Human Rights 2:003:00 PM

General overview of international structures that formalize Human Rights. Specifics in the countries in

which EMERGENCY is operating. Aspirations and realities: insights regarding process for realizing

Human Rights.

4. Photography and the story of EMERGENCY USA 3:00- 4:15 PM

Recent examples of photography in EMERGENCY USAs raising awareness and tangible support. History,

contextualization and mindfulness regarding the power of images. Audience members will choose a

favorite image, and share what resonates about the story and character of that image.

Each supporter of EMERGENCY USA has the power to make a positive impact by coordinating with and

combining efforts with like-minded organizations. Well brainstorm about good judgment in seeking

partners, and ways of leveraging actions for greatest effect through smart collaboration.

One of the greatest assets we have is the compelling narrative of accomplishment and the ethical beauty

ofEMERGENCY

. Well talk about ways of engaging the public, attracting and maintaining interest, andinspiring support by reminding our communities of the impact of contributions.

Participants will work for 30 minutes with a group to draft a proposal for one or more initiatives for events,

outreach, and fundraising. Each group will share their ideas with the rest of the attendees.
