“My daughter Johanna went with Cultural Care Au Pair to San Francisco. Being a mother I had a very

secure feeling that my daughter would be well taken care of by the organisation. It was important to me

that all conditions and regulations were clear and that she would have a support network in the USA.

Communication with Cultural Care Au Pair was always reliable. The system au pair – family was well

established and constructed. (…) The programme was a big challenge for Johanna, but she developed into

an independent woman, taking on responsibilities. Cultural Care guided her through the first year and in

the end she even extended for 6 more months with her host family. (…) Even today she is still in contact

with the family. As a mother I can only recommend Cultural Care Au Pair.”

Opening the World Through Education

Cultural Care Au Pair is part of EF Education First, the world’s largest private educational organisation. For 50 years, EF has partnered with educators across the globe to complement traditional education with cultural and experiential language training. We believe that education continues outside the classroom, and that our programmes help young people acquire the skills they need to compete in a global economy.

Cultural Care Au Pair provides the opportunity for thousands of young people to live in the United States for up to two years. Over the past 25 years more than 100,000 au pairs have successfully travelled to the United States with us and we look forward to offering this opportunity to many more.

Regulated and Safe

Cultural Care Au Pair - The Industry Leader

Over the last 25 years Cultural Care Au Pair has become the largest organisation placing au pairs in American host families.

Cultural Care Au Pair is the only organisation designated by the US Department of State that operates the selection, training, and placement of au pairs all through our own organisation. We have local staff in all countries from which we recruit au pairs, and the placement of them is handled by our staff in Boston, USA.

We are proud to know that every au pair and host family has been met, selected, and trained by our own staff.

Being part of the EF Education First family also means that we can rely on EF’s 50 years of experience and 15 million programme participants to ensure we are providing the best possible support and safety.

The safety of our programme participants is our top priority. We have partnered with the American Red Cross to provide all au pairs with CPR and First Aid certification. We have also worked with insurance experts to develop an insurance coverage exclusively for au pair needs.

Cultural Care Au Pair specialises in the placement of au pairs in the United States of America. The au pair programme in the US is regulated by the U.S. Department of State and protects both the au pairs and host families in an unparalleled way.

“Through the Au Pair programme, participants and

host families take part in a mutually rewarding,

intercultural opportunity. Participants can continue

their education while experiencing everyday life with

an American family. In turn, the family receives

reliable and responsible childcare from individuals who

become part of the family.”

The U.S. Department of State about the Au Pair programme(http://j1visa.state.gov/programs/au-pair/)

The U.S. Department of State regulates the benefitsof the programme and also conducts an extensive annual audit of our selection and placement of au pairs, and the general safety measures we take.

“I can definitely say that my time as an au pair has changed my life: I have grown up personally becoming more mature, responsible and open minded. I developed valuable skills such as stress management and problem solving and had a lot of practice organising my working schedule independently. I have also learned to be patient and to interact with people of different cultures. Now, while working for the Italian office of Cultural Care Au Pair I can help many Italian au pairs realising their dream.”

“Anyone that loves children and is looking for an opportunity to travel, learn about a new culture and create many memories with a host family should become an au pair! The au pair year helped me to become more mature, independent, patient and above all more open-minded to other people and their cultures. I wish I could repeat this experience.”

Helping Young People Grow

At Cultural Care Au Pair, we select and train au pairs from over 20 countries around the world. They pursue the programme for many reasons and with varying expectations, but they all finish with increased confidence, maturity, and motivation.

Whether a person is aiming to compete in a global job market or is struggling with finding a position in a suffering local economy, being an au pair is a safe and affordable path to enhancing your CV and developing your skills.

We are proud to work with young people to help them grow and succeed.

“My time as an au pair has helped me to grow up as a person and helped me to become more self-confident. I feel that after this experience I will be ready to face anything that life has to offer me. My time as an au pair, I am sure, will help me towards an international career in the future.”
