In November 1973, Dixon purchased a unique, patented zero-turn transaxle which delivered independent drive power to the

rear wheels for ultimate control. This allowed homeowners to experience the benefits and maneuverability of a zero-turning

radius mower at an affordable price. In March of 1974, Dixon ZTR® was born when the first model rolled off the assembly line.

Customers quickly learned that the revolutionary design cut their mowing time in half. The first models featured a fiberglass

body and an 8 HP engine. Today, as Dixon celebrates over 40 years in the industry, the product range includes a model line

of zero-turn mowers that suits both the homeowner and the professional with engine sizes up to 31 HP. Riding tractors, lawn

mowers and a high-wheeled trimmer round out the Dixon product line to truly offer a mower for every need.
