IampleasedthattheOpelikaParksandRecreationDepartmentwillbehostingthisevent.TheParksandRecreationStaffisveryproudoftheW.JamesSamfordSoccerComplex,andwearelookingforwardtohostingthestatetournamentatourfacility.Wewishallteamsthebestofluckinthetourneyandwehopeeachteamwillrememberthatsportsmanshipandhardplaygohandinhand.

TheSoccercomplexislocatedalongsidetheOpelikaSportsPlexandAquaticsCenter.TheSportsPlexandAquaticscenterisamembershipbasedfacilitythatisafullworkoutfacility.TheSportsPlexalsohostsagymandindoorheatedswimmingpoolforourmembership.

Iwouldliketoextendaninvitationtoallparentstocomevisitthecenterandwewillbehappytogivetoursorletyousimplylookaround.Iwouldhoweveraskthatteamsdonotusethebuildingasaplacetotakebreaksbetweengames.Thisisamembershipbasedfacilityandwearenotsetuptoaccommodatelargegroupsofpeoplesimplyrelaxing.Wehaveanoutdooramphitheaterwithplentyofgreenspacewhereteamswillbeabletogatherandrelaxbetweengames.Thereisalsoamplespacewithinoursoccercomplexforteamstospreadoutandrest.

Wewouldliketoofferalltournamentplayerstheopportunitytousetheswimmingpoolfreeofchargeduringthedayiftheirscheduleallows.Iwouldliketoremindeveryonethatifplayersdocometousethepoolorviewthecentertheyshouldremovetheircleatsbeforeenteringthebuilding.Familieswishingtousethepoolareaduringthetournamentmaydosobypayingournormaldailypoolfeeof$4.00perswimmer.
