About the Program*

Demographic changes involving a growing number of the elderly have prompted a dramatic increase in age-related endemic diseases, such as heart failure, arteriosclerosis, arthrosis and osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, malignant cancers, age-related dementia and more. Treatment care of these diseases demands enormous medical and financial resources.

This challenging situation can be approached by 2 means: treatment of the diseases and active prevention of physiological aging processes and diseases. Effective preventive and anti-aging medicine must be treated as an interdisciplinary task for all medical fields of expertise.

Intensified medical research contributes to earlier and faster diagnoses of these diseases by allowing for the early analysis of individual risk factors such as genetic predisposition, individual life style and living circumstances. Modern medical diagnostic methods enable a detailed analysis of the risks of diseases and the development of them. Simultaneously, newly developed therapies enable us to decelerate aging processes and accompanying signs of deterioration and to activate and strengthen self-healing capacity.

This Master Program in Preventive, Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine conveys current knowledge of preventive medicine, covering all medical areas and their preventive medical measures to emphasize the interdisciplinary task of prevention. The courses are held by numerous prominent scientists and lecturers from various medical backgrounds, ensuring modern and high-level education. Specific emphasis is placed on the implementation of prevention on modern medical practice, based on the theoretical knowledge discussed.

The extra-occupational concept of this program enables its participants to combine the academic advanced training with their professional occupation. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded the internationally acknowledged titled degree of “Master of Science”. This program is the first European training towards a qualified academic degree with an international accreditation in clinical medicine.

*This future-oriented Master Program was started in September 2007 in cooperation with the German Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (GSAAM) – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Prävention und Anti-Aging Medizin e.V. In 2010, the DIU decided to offer the Master program for international students. The study program is organized via EUROMEDICOM, Paris.

Prof. Dr. med. Alfred Wolf, MD, PhD, is Professor Emeritus at the University of Ulm (Germany) in gynecology and obstetrics, endocrinology and reproductive medicine and laboratory medicine, working in the field of anti-aging medicine and preventive medicine since 1999. Former president of the German Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (GSAAM), more than 180 publications on juvenile gynecology and anti-aging medicine, he is currently scientific director of the “International Master program in Preventive, Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine” at the Dresden International University.

“In my many years of dermatology practice, I am so accustomed to making people aesthetically pleasing using various modalities. However, a few years ago I no-ticed a shift. Many of my patients inquired about a more natural and wholistic approach to looking and feeling good. This idea intrigued me, and in my research I stumbled upon the DIU preventive and anti-aging medicine program. I did not know what to expect, and my heart was filled with doubt. But after a few sessions, everything is all fine. What an incredible series of courses... When I first started this Master program, I had no idea how much information I would have been able to retain and use in my everyday practice. This is the “MUST HAVE“ course for anyone seeking proper credentials in Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine. Definitely the most legitimate course in Anti-aging Medicine worldwide. The infor-mation is very well adapted to take from the classroom and immediately integrate into your practice upon returning home. The friends and colleagues I have made will last a lifetime. Thank you the DIU!“

Christina PUYAT, MD (Dermatological surgeon), Philippines

“When I first learned about this program, I decided to join it to complement my life time interest and passion to all that contributes to people’s health and well being. I, however, never expected it to be so enriching both on personal and professional levels. As of the first seminar, I realized how much this course and program would help me in further strengthening the relationship with the pa-tients that visit the antiaging center I opened few years ago in Beirut, seeking scientific and reliable advice to improve their quality of life. And this also with the help of the different health professionals that are exercising within the center, whom I will be able to support even better. The program has also been most enjoyable with colleagues from all over the world, building new friendships, being exposed to different cultures, and ex-changing experiences, knowledge and expertise.I really and strongly urge every health professional to join this program as it will undoubtedly benefit him/her on many levels while having a very unique expe-rience. Finally I cannot but thank all the lecturers and my colleagues for their support and for the extraordinary and unforgettable time we spent together over the past two years. Looking forward to a life long friendship with all of you.“ Sonia RAHBANI, PhD (Pharmacist), Lebanon

“After practicing ophthalmology for over 25 years, my career becoming comfor-table and predictable. In 2010, and of pure curiosity, I enrolled in the master course of DIU preventive and anti-aging medicine. These two years have surprised all my expectations. All professors are truly inspiring, they have shared their knowledge and experience full-heartedly. The working environment is professional, scientific and very friendly.I am blessed to have had the chance to meet professionals from all over the world, both as mentors as well as colleagues …over the course of this program we have become more like family.

This experience has provided me with a well-grounded knowledge that opened new unexpected doors in my life and I have no hesitation to recommend this program for my acquaintances.“Mona AL-JEFRI, MD (Ophtalmologist), Saudi Arabia

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS (2011-2013)

“Being in the Anti-aging business and Cosmetology for more than 25 years, I thought in the beginning that DIU master course would be similar to the others advertised. IT WAS NOT. It is far better because of overall scientific coverage of all factors of cell aging and the way to delay this process in clinical prac-tice, covering themes from hormones replacement to aesthetic Medicine. I would therefore suggest anyone to follow this master course. He/she would learn much more about today’s and future medicine.“Angelos KANAKOPOULOS, Economist (Private company’s CEO), Greece

“The DIU Masters course in Preventive Medicine has provided essential tools in my current anti-aging practice in the Philippines. I used to think that preventive medicine was just all about hormonal balancing until I took the course and was taught about a lot of new perspectives in improving quality of life and longevity. I am very satisfied to have received an up-to-date scientific information from qualified professors and to have closely interacted with a unique composition of international students who are also doctors in their respective countries. This program has indeed added a wealth of knowledge and experience to my medi-cal career.“Christopher-Rex GLORIA, MD (Anti-aging practitioner), Philippines

“I want to express my deep gratitude to the DIU and Prof. Alfred WOLF (kind and thoughtful scientific director!) for accepting me into this program. Af-ter graduation, the knowledge learned during the 7 seminars over the 2-year program can be applied to my practice not only for local aesthetic medicine procedures and approaches but also for understanding and management of the systemic problems related to aging. As a long-time dermatologist, I know that the results of treatment for skin and body will surpass all expecta-tions when accompanied by proper diet, hormonal balance and selection of vitamins and minerals. The combination of systemic and local approaches will make it easy to solve complex problems. Thank again all the team!“ Larisa COLOMEET, MD (Dermatologist), Moldova

“I am very happy to be involved in this program. Learning fundamental knowledge of aging and how to prevent negative effects of aging interest me. Having at-tended lectures in a University Academic level and of this quality gives me more confidence. Especially, international students involved in this program also help to learn many different things from all over the world.I certainly recommend this program to those who are interested in anti-aging the-rapies (it must be emphasized here that anti-aging therapy does not mean correc-tion of physical appearance). This master program is unique and, to my opinion, highly adapted for motivated physicians who are full-time practicing. Within 2 years, they will attend 7 concentrated and structured seminars and later synthe-size the relevant knowledge when working on their own on homework and thesis.“ Ruhi CAKIR, MD (Anti-aging practitioner), Turkey

Student Testimonials (2011-2013)

“Knowledge has been and will be always part of my life and work as health care provider. With an increased proportion of aging population worldwide, today’s medicine can be seen as a challenge for all health professionals. We must adapt and maximize our capacities to deal with this group of older people. In this Master program, I have been introduced and learned to understand the aging process, oxidative stress mechanism and production of free radicals, until age manage-ment approaches, etc. The lecturers do not only provide us with the information of clinical aspects and approaches to aging but also further insight into age-re-lated research and technologies such as extracellular matrix changes and stem cells maintenance and much more.“Ursula MANSSON, DMD (Dental surgeon), United Arab Emirates

“Many components distinguish this master course from other anti-aging courses I’ve done in the past. It’s not only an official university course run by a well known institution but also the first world international master program in preventive and anti-aging medicine making us academically unique. Composed of health professionals of different specialties coming from different parts of the world, the class was easily unified and filled with energy and new ideas generated from group discussion. It’s a great opportunity to learn how other colleagues incorporate anti-aging medicine into their daily practices. I once heard a saying ‘If you read from the textbooks, you’re only learning what has been practiced in the past. But if you talk to someone, you will learn about what is being practiced now.’ This course has enabled me to do that. I would highly recommend this pro-gram to my colleagues and also, like in my case, those who just start practicing anti-aging medicine.“Pavinee MANEEPAIROJ, MD (Anti-aging practitioner), Thailand

“I do enjoy the DIU Master program in Preventive, Anti-aging and Regenerative Me-dicine and am happy to be one of the first student group of this innovative program. The program content consists of related disciplines and topics covering the preven-tive and anti-aging strategies. The selected internationally reputed lecturers coming from both academic and clinical environments are highly experienced, knowled-geable, motivated and know how to encourage all students to different preventive approaches. What we learned is thus scientific-based and clinically applicable. The scientific director and the supporting team (DIU and Euromedicom) are also very helpful and understanding. When I go back to my country after each seminar, I always have something new that can be applied to my practice. Although I have to spend a long time to travel from Indonesia to attend each seminar and must be absent from my clinical prac-tice, this learning experience is so valuable and really worth my attending and time investment. I feel refreshed and recharged with the knowledge and the take-home messages I received from the lecturers. For all medical doctors who are interested in this field and would like to provide their patients with global care based on pa-tients’ best interest, I would like to encourage them to join this Master program and become part of the new-age forefront in preventive and anti-aging medicine.“Deby VINSKI, MD (Anti-Aging Practitioner), Indonesia
