Athletic Center

Penn State Abington Athletics features indoor and outdoor facilities for 13 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. The centerpiece of Abington's athletics facilities is the Abington Athletic Building, which houses indoor venues for competition, practice and community recreation along with offices, locker rooms and training rooms. Men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball team play in the Athletic Building. Clubs and local community events also utilize the building for special events from time to time.

Alverthorpe Park, home to the baseball and softball teams, has helped both programs grow and blossom. Since the park is maintained by Penn State Abington and utilized by several youth baseball and softball leagues, the athletic contests there have become popular sporting events attended by many members of the local community. The cross country team share a partnership with Lorimer Park and hosts their annual invitiational at their site.

Penn State Abington and the Abington School District are working together to enhance Memorial Field, located in close proximity to the campus. The $5 millon project will upgrade the fields, install an all-weather non-competitve track, provide enhanced seating and facilities, and provide a venue for community sporting events that will being Penn State Abington, the township, and the local community closer together.
