If you aren’t playing intercollegiate sports but want to stay active, try one of our intramural activities on one of the new courts at the Ranger Outdoor Complex or intramural fields. The Ranger Outdoor Complex includes eight tennis courts, four basketball courts and two volleyball courts with exterior lighting for play after dark.

how do i get financial aid?You must fIRST fill out a free Application for federal Student Aid (fAfSA) online at www.fafsa.gov to receive any type of aid.

loansThere are four different ways you can receive funds to help pay for your education. They are listed in the right column, so find which one best meets your needs and qualifications!
Scholarships are handled through their departments, so you should contact the department directly for try-out information. fill out scholarship applications on the financial aid website before April 1.
By filling out the fAfSA, you will have applied for federal Work-Study. If eligible, Northwest will help you find a job on campus to help cover your cost of attendance.
By filling out the fAfSA, you have already applied for federal Pell Grant. Then go to www.ihl.state.ms.us to fill out the application for the two grants available to Mississippians.
Students who still need assistance covering their cost of attendance while in school can apply for federal Direct Loans that they must pay back after graduation.
80% of students receive some form of financial assistance.

Northwest is known state-wide for its tradition of excellence in intercollegiate
sports. Since 2000, a total of 280 student-athletes have gone on to sign at four-year
colleges/universities. Eighty of those have inked at major Division I schools. Give

all students must follow in order to receive a Certificate of Admission.
