• The UEFA Grassroots Charter recognises the importanceof non-professional and non-elite football

• A quality mark focusing on specific aspects of grassroots football

• Fundamental requirements: basic structures, grassrootsleader training and various services for players

• Charter members receive €100,000 per year for theirgrassroots activities

• UEFA Grassroots Workshop from 8 to 12 April 2013 atthe Ullevaal Stadium and in the adjoining Thon Hotel inOslo

Aim of the seminar

• UEFA Jira Panel decision: no UEFA licence in this area for the time being• Instead: familiarisation of a first group of technical education experts with the latest

trends in this domain (achieve peak performance and support injury prevention).• Nurture the dialogue between coach educators and fitness experts• Communicate a clear and football specific message• Stimulate the associations on how to integrate relevant fitness related topics at the

various coach education levels
