with employee utilization of dental benefits.

2. Discuss oral health care as it relates to overall employee wellness.

3. Review the integral relationship between oral health and overall health.

1. Discuss how the practice of health care is transforming through innovation and

collaboration, and how recent national policies impact care in Virginia.

2. Review the data implications for oral health delivery in Virginia and the nation.

3. Discuss the Affordable Care Act requirements and implementation as they relate to

oral health care access and the provision of care.

4. Identify innovative models of oral health care delivery.

5. Review some of the major links between oral and systemic health.

2013 Virginia Oral Health Summit

The 2013 Virginia Oral Health Summit will explore the future of oral health care delivery in Virginia. This program is

appropriate for dentists, dental hygienists, physicians, physician assistants, nurses and anyone interested in the subject

matter. Teaching methods will be lecture, small group discussion and question and answer. No prior skill level or knowledge

is required to attend. Instructor Marko Vujicic, PhD, is the managing vice president for the American Dental Association’s

health policy resources center; and, instructor Chris Pyle, MA, is the director of marketing and community relations for Delta
