Afull-service clinic, ChaletDental Care offers thelatest technology in den-
tistry, from routine procedures totooth restorations, to implants and
periodontal specialties.
The clinic also provides tooth whit-ening, orthodontic clear braces, cosmeticBotox treatments and more.
Botox treatments, you ask? While some people might not expect
to see nonsurgical cosmetic procedureson the list of services at a dental office,Chalets staff members explain its some-thing their patients have been requestingand is a more natural fit than you mightthink.
Dentistry is becoming more com-prehensive. People want to change theirappearance and reduce the signs of aging. They want smile makeovers and thatincludes smoothing out their fine linesand wrinkles, says Bridget LaBahn,
patient care coordinator.Dr. Brent Fredrickson adds that a den-
tist providing cosmetic Botox injectionsmakes a lot of sense. Dentists are alreadyfamiliar with head and neck anatomyand muscles, and weve spent our entirecareers perfecting the technique of pain-less injections.
Botox is a safe way to minimize wrin-kles, Fredrickson explains. The beautyof Botox treatments is patients see animprovement in their appearance withintwo to eight days.
The cost is far less than intrusivecosmetic surgeries, and once the Botoxeffects begin to wear off in four to six
months, the wrinkles are the same astheir baseline and, in some cases, lessevident.
Creating attractive smilesAmong the clinics newer offerings
are clear Invisalign braces, a popularalternative to metal braces. Adultsare often self-conscious about theappearance of traditional braces, andInvisalign invisible braces offer a quickand attractive alternative to correctan unsightly gap or straighten crookedteeth.
Since the Invisalign braces can beremoved, patients get to eat whatever
they want and their teeth can be easilycleaned.
Another option for improving onesappearance is teeth whitening. Dr.Fredrickson says, It is a very inexpen-sive, popular way of enhancing yoursmile.
Chalet Dental offers the latest inchairside whitening as well as numer-ous safe, medically approved take-homeproducts.
We work closely with patients tofind techniques that will give themoptimal results, Dr. Fredrickson notes.
Latest technologiesThe clinic now has a dental micro-
scope, which helps illuminate andmagnify the working field. It offersmore precise dentistry, because we areable to see the tooth structure in fargreater detail, Dr. Fredrickson says.
A 3M Chairside Oral Scannermakes dental images that allow thedentists to produce crowns, restora-tions and splints in a single visit.
Chalet Dental also offers digitalX-rays. This environmentally friendlytechnology eliminates the need forfilm or chemicals and reduces patientsradiation exposure by 75 percent.
The staff is continually training innew technologies and techniques inpatient care. Each hygienist has com-pleted advanced courses and has addi-tional licensure to offer their patients
superior services.
Expanding practiceDr. Fredrickson joined Chalet
Dental Care in 1997 before taking itover in 2001. Dr. Trisha Rieck joinedin with Fredrickson in 2001, and Dr.Gregory Smith came aboard in 2009.
Recently, Roseville dentist Dr.William Hite closed his LarpenteurAvenue clinic and moved his practiceto Chalet Dental. Dr. Hite is workingpart time at the clinic leading up tohis retirement in October, when hewill mark his 30th year of practicing
dentistry. The Chalet Dental support staffprioritize communication with patientsand make sure everyone feels welcome.
Our goals are to offer exceptionalservice, on-time scheduling and qual-ity patient care in a friendly, comfort-able environment, Dr. Fredricksonsays.

When Grandpa
remarks that hewould like his cre-mation ashes scattered around hisnorthwoods property or undera favorite tree he planted in hisbackyard, grieving loved ones fre-quently carry out his wishes with-out pause.
Then, usually about the time theydecide to sell his now-empty house orweekend retreat, regrets set in. Thefamily members realize someone elsewill soon own the property, and theiraccess to Grandpas final resting placewill be permanently cut off.
At Roselawn Cemetery, super-intendent Larry Hudella says thissort of family heartache is becomingincreasingly common as more peoplechoose cremation.
What to do with a loved onesashes is a very personal decision, andnot one that should be made hastily,Hudella says.
People often find they want aplace they can go to for that sense ofconnection, Hudella says. RoselawnCemetery provides that place alongwith the assurance of perpetual care.
Roselawn has more cremationplacement options than most othercemeteries in the Twin Cities,Hudella says. And with those optionscomes a very affordable range ofprices, starting at under $600.
Options include: Split Rock Garden, the cem-
eterys newest columbarium locatednear the historic, Cass Gilbert-designed Roselawn Chapel. Twoseparate granite half-cylinders invitevisitors to walk around and betweenthem. A limestone wall is the back-drop for a pond, gardens and sculp-
ture of two children and a turtlefountain.
in-ground or niche placement inthe Garden of Remembrance, wherea wall of inscribed niches is tuckedinto a serene, landscaped setting.
ossuary placement, with a spiral-ing pathway leading visitors throughgranite memorials to a column forco-mingled ashes topped by a bronzesphere.
placement in Roselawns mau-soleum, where a bronze niche wall said to be the largest in the world depicts a lake scene from thenorthwoods.
The niche doors on the columbari-ums can be personalized with symbolsthat reflect an individuals life.
In addition to the columbariumoptions, the park-like cemetery hasplots for traditional burials and inter-ment of ashes in the ground as well.
For headstones on burial graves,we can customize them with images
that were especially significant; wevedone everything from a camper or amotorcycle to an airplane. Anotherpopular option is engraving a photoof the loved one on the stone.
Roselawn has been in operationsince 1902 and is open to visitorsyear-round from sunrise to sunset. The historic chapel is available to lotowners for funerals and memorial ser-vices at no charge.
We have no fences and operatewith the goal of benefiting the living
as well as the memory of the depart-ed, Hudella adds.
People have the peace of mind ofknowing generations to come willbe able to visit their loved onesremains.

Its not easy to watch yourloved ones suffer.
So after Dr. Josh Norine, D.C.at Total Healthcare witnessed hisown grandmother, Betty Jean, bat-tle crippling knee pain for monthson end, he decided he never want-ed any of his patients have to gothrough the same experience.
Betty Jean was an active seniorwho had enjoyed deep sea fish-ing and moose hunting before shedecided to have total knee replace-ment surgery at age 81.
But she couldnt have imag-ined the awful pain shed haveto endure for months after it wasover. My grandmother is anincredibly strong lady, but the painshe was experiencing after the sur-gery was so intense, she cried, Dr.
Josh says.Dr. Josh notes that for some
people, like his grandmother, the pain of rehabilitation afterknee replacement surgery canbe much worse than the paintheyd experienced prior to goingunder the knife. Thats why he
decided to begin offering a newnonsurgical treatment program atTotal Healthcare in Roseville forpatients whod like an alternativeto total knee replacement.
Over time, the natural fluidthat cushions the knee joints canbreak down, resulting in horrible,bone-on-bone pain and stiffness,Dr. Josh explains. The safe, FDA-approved treatment offered atTotal Healthcare involves a seriesof natural injections to restore thatfluid.
The injections, taken from
rooster combs, have proven
effective in reducing knee pain.Surgery isnt the only option, butmost people think it is, Dr. Joshexplains.
Some people might have alreadytried this treatment with littleor no results, but Dr. Josh sayspatients at Total Healthcare can benearly guaranteed pain relief, fortwo reasons.
First, the staff at TotalHealthcare offers in-house physicaltherapy designed to help patientsheal fast.
Second, Total Healthcare doc-tors use special equipment thatallows them to see inside theknee so they can ensure the shotis injected into exactly the rightplace.
The treatment program takesonly one or two months, and theresno downtime required. Pain reliefcan last for months after treatment, sometimes even years, Dr. Josh says, and Medicare and most insurancecompanies often cover a large per-centage of the cost.
Dr. Josh says he never wantsto see his patients suffer like hisgrandmother did, and invites thosewho suffer from knee pain andstiffness to call Total Healthcareto see how they might benefitfrom this innovative treatment. Many Total Healthcare patientswho undergo this treatment reportbeing able to dance with a spouseonce again or finally play withtheir grandchildren for the firsttime in years, Dr. Josh adds.
They can live again.
The staff at Total Healthcare wants to help you feel your best. In front are Chris
Santamaria, P.T. consultant, Dr. Josh Norine, D.C. and owner, Dan Delahunt D.C.,and Holly Spannbaner, office manager. Behind them (right to left) are Flete
Gray, P.A.-C, Dr. Scott Arneson, D.C., Jeanne Martineau, insurance specialist andJennifer Norine, administrator.
Got knee pain? Total Healthcare can helpHere is what actual patients have to say about their successful treatment for knee
pain at Total Healthcare:
My left knee was so painful that I had trouble bend-ing the knee to sit down or even to find a comfortablesleeping position. I was limping badly when I walked, and found it impossible to climb stairs. The shots madeall the difference in the world, making it possible to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and sleep comfortably. Thankyou so much for suggesting this treatment. I had no ideasuch a thing was possible.
Linda
I have been able to do more work around the housein the past few weeks than I have been all summer. Mystamina has gone through the roof and I have been ableto stand for longer periods of time without pain. As faras Im concerned, this was a total success for me!

You could say Wendy
Kenneally comes by her
business, Midwest Data, by
both nature and nurture.
Kenneally purchased the bookkeep-ing, accounting and payroll businessfrom her mother, Kay Weber, in 2005,after Weber had operated it for 30 years.
Kenneally has also chalked up con-siderable experience during her career, including serving as chief financial offi-cer for the St. Therese Senior Residencein New Hope and traveling the countryas a financial software consultant forbusinesses.
That expertise is now available tobusinesses large and small, with the per-sonal touch that makes the difference.
Our largest client employs about
700 people, and many have 10 to 15,Kenneally says. We do everything frompayroll to general ledger to reconcilingbanking and account statements andyear-end statements. But were flexibleenough that a client can call and askfor a certain report and we can get it tothem the same day.
Even better, Midwest Data offersvery competitive rates for its services, plus attention clients dont get from thebig operators.
My clients will tell you Im veryinquisitive about their businesses,
Kenneally says with a smile. Thoseconversations often lead us to new ideasand solutions tailored to their needs.
And, with seven employees and awelcoming walk-in policy, MidwestDatas clients are quickly on a first-
name basis -- with names that dontchange.
People whove worked with morebureaucratic firms in the past love thefact they can just work with one or two
people who know them and their busi-ness, Kenneally says.
Currently, Kenneallys firm servesa mix of construction businesses, res-taurant franchisers, real-estate firms, service businesses such as hair and nailsalons and many single proprietorships. With Midwest Data, those owners andmanagers can free up time and person-nel to focus on their goals.
And business is looking good. WhatI see is that every business we work withis stronger and busier, Kenneally says. They havent gotten back to pre-reces-sion levels yet, but theres steady growthto build on.
As they grow, those clients have theconfidence that while theyre doingwhat they do best, Midwest Data is too.

In the large, airy move-ment room of MinnesotaWaldorf School in
Maplewood, students can look out
the windows and see fields, trees, sky and an occasional bald eagleduring their classes.
On a given day, eighth-gradersmight be preparing for a show withhula hoops and artistic movements onhigh swings while others practice flipson mats or fencing with batons.
Movement and games teacher KurtCurtin says the movement classes helpintegrate childrens minds and bodiesby getting more synapses firing in thebrain. This can help with writing, read-ing and math, he adds.
We nurture the whole childthrough physical and artistic activitiesas well as rigorous academics, explainsLauri Pierce, enrollment coordinatorfor the school. We cant address justpart of the child if we want healthy, balanced children and enthusiastic,life-long learners.
Minnesota Waldorf School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As anindependent, non-sectarian, Pre-Kthrough eighth grade school, it offersbefore and after-school care, Parent-Totclasses and needs-based tuition assis-tance.
Tailored teachingWaldorf students in first through
eighth grade generally stay with thesame teachers and classmates fromyear to year, so teachers can learn eachchilds strengths and weaknesses, andguide them accordingly.
Theres no teaching to the test, and the curriculum is not based ontextbooks or workbooks; children cre-ate their own lesson books that includecompositions and colorful illustrationsrelated to lessons designed by theteachers. The only standardized test
students take is the time-honored IowaBasic Skills Test. Waldorf students takethe assessment in seventh grade, andthey typically achieve the 10th gradelevel or above, Pierce says.
The design and delivery of theWaldorf curriculum is based upon chil-drens developmental stages. Carefulconsideration is given to nurturing stu-dents social, emotional and inner soullife. We educate the whole humanbeing! Pierce says.
High school teachers, as well ascollege professors, appreciate and canoften spot a Waldorf graduate becausethey are enthusiastic learners, skilledcritical thinkers, and interested in theconnections between subjects.
Isaac Maier, a Waldorf graduate anda freshman at St. Olaf College who was
back helping Waldorf students preparefor a movement show during his schoolbreak, says attending Waldorf opened alot of opportunities for him, both aca-demically and artistically.
For example, each year students areexposed to different musical instru-ments. Maier says that exposure helpedhim develop a passion for the cello, which he started playing in the thirdgrade and now plays in the renownedSt. Olaf orchestra.
Waldorf School prepared me betterfor St. Olaf than my high school did,he said, adding that a big difference isstudent-teacher ratios. Waldorf classes
average about 20 students, giving eachthe opportunity for individual atten-tion.
The teachers are dedicated to help-ing students grow academically andsocially, creating a deep sense of com-munity that Maier says helped lay hisfoundation for success.
I knew everyone had my back,Maier adds.

Concordia Academy iseverything you want ahigh school to be.
Concordia Academy affection-
ately nicknamed CA by teachers, stu-dents and alumni offers Bible basedlearning, small class sizes, strong bondsbetween teachers and students, andlearning opportunities that go abovewhat is available at other schools.
Concordia Academy in Rosevilleoffers more college classes than anyother high school in the state ofMinnesota, says the Rev. TimothyBerner, the schools principal. In fact,CA students saved over $1.3 million incollege tuition last year by completing afull year of college courses while still inhigh school. Concordia Academys cur-riculum is designed to prepare freshmen
and sophomores to take college classesduring their junior and senior years.
To further meet the needs of stu-dents, CA offers a rigorous STEM2 (sci-ence, technology, engineering, math, medicine) program. The STEM2 curric-ulum offers the equivalent of five yearsof study in both math and science, andgives students the opportunity to pursueinternships in these specialties.
In addition, Concordia Academyis a fraction of the size of most publichigh schools yet offers many of the sameopportunities found at larger schools, including a wide array of sports, music, drama and other extracurricular activi-ties, Rev. Berner says. Over 90 percentof Concordia Academy students partici-pate in extra curricular activities.
CA prides itself on equal opportuni-ties for all students. If your childrenwant to play a sport, they can play. Ifthey are interested in music, CA offers avariety of choirs and bands.
One of Concordia Academys mainattributes is that its a Christ-centeredschool. Teachers emphasize Christian-based values, including service to others;in turn students participate in serviceprojects during the year both on- andoff-campus. Recently, a visitor witnesseda group of female students lingering inthe hallway, discussing a tragic event.
One student said, Thats terrible, weshould pray about that. The studentshuddled together and prayed then andthere.
Thats the faith we cultivate here,Rev. Berner explains.
Perhaps because of that faith, stu-dents and teachers develop strong bondsduring a students four years at CA. Theteachers know them, Rev. Berner adds. They dont just know their faces, theyknow their names and their interests. Many students stay in touch with theirCA teachers long after graduation.
While tuition is always a concern forfamilies, CA offers an array of scholar-ships, grants and other financial aidprograms, such as volunteer opportuni-ties through which families can work inexchange for tuition assistance. Tuitionat CA is also considerably less thanmany other local private schools. Weare committed to making ConcordiaAcademy affordable for every family,Rev. Berner says.

People are excited for spring, and we are already getting lots ofspring things in new paints, tools, lawnmowers, trimmers and otherlawn-care products, says store ownerMike Johnson. This year well havehanging baskets and pots of colorful,
assorted flowers as well.Roseville Suburban Ace, a popular
local hardware store on the corner ofLexington and Roselawn avenues, isknown for its helpful, friendly service.
The store is also widely knownfor carrying top-name brands, andhas recently added to that lineupwith Craftsman tools, Clark andKensington paints and Scotts newSnap lawn care system.
Aces affiliation with Craftsmanmeans customers can find a full lineof Craftsman wrenches, hand tools, air tools, shop vacs and other powerequipment, with more available byspecial order, says assistant managerDave Floberg.
The new Clark and Kensingtonpaint is darn good stuff, addsFloberg, who explains all the paints inthe store are made by Ace and wererated No. 1 in Consumer Reports. With the primer already in the paint,Clark and Kensington can save cus-tomers elbow grease and time.
Scotts new Snap system promisesthe greatest change for homeown-ers, taking the guesswork out of lawncare and the mess off their hands.Everything needed for a season of
beautiful grass -- fertilizer, crabgrasspreventer and weed control -- is pack-aged so it just clips into the Snap
lawn spreader. Theres no measuring, pouring or handling chemicals.
With cutting-edge productsand years of expertise on staff, theSuburban Ace crew sees customerscoming in from all over the area,Floberg says. Employee Troy Williamsadds, People would rather come herethan the big-box stores because weknow what were talking about, wevegot what you need and we greet you
the minute you walk in the door.Bob Simonet, who recently needed
a small part from Aces large selec-tion of bolts for his sons snowmobile,is one of Roseville Suburban Acesrepeat customers.
Its easier to go to Ace than any-place else, and I like their courteousservice, he says.
Roseville Suburban Ace also hasbilingual employees on hand if aSpanish-speaking customer needshelp.
Women are a large part of thestores customer base, as they gainconfidence in their do-it-yourself abil-
ities. Williams says plumbing seems tobe a project more women are willing
to tackle, noting a widow who decid-ed she could complete a repair herselfafter store staff showed her what sheneeded and walked her through theprocess.
She was happy to get the jobdone herself, Williams recalls. Wecan often help people fix somethingon their own. Theyre saving moneyand adding skills.
Those turning their thoughts to
the outdoors greening up lawns, planting flowers or maybe adding tothe decor can get a head start atAce.
With winter nearly over, wevegot a good start on spring and sum-mer goods like grills, lawnmowersand garden supplies, Floberg says.
Outdoor living furniture can nowbe ordered from the Ace warehousethrough the stores colorful catalog, and benches for the yard are alreadyin the store. The new Toro andCraftsman lawnmowers will be insoon, and hanging baskets and potsof flowers will follow soon after.
Roseville Suburban Ace is alsooffering in-house sharpening for
push lawnmower blades, as well asa blade exchange program so thatresidents can swap out their dulllawnmower blade for a sharper onewithout having to wait until thenext day for sharpening. Once swap-pers get four punches on a blade-exchange punch card theyll receivea discount on their next lawnmowerrepair.
Johnson suggests that people who
need lawnmowers repaired shouldbring them in now, before the springrush starts.
He adds that once new folks stopin, they usually become regulars.
We appreciate our customers andstrive to provide superior customerservice, Johnson says. We prideourselves on answering their ques-tions and helping them get going ontheir projects. And we want this tobe a fun and friendly place to shopas well.
Roseville Suburban Ace gears up for spring
It doesnt matter whatkind of winter its been;the first sunny Saturday
sends crowds of eager homeown-ers and gardeners into RosevilleSuburban Ace Hardware.

We like to treat every family as ifthey were our very own, says RichardPurcell, who owns the business with hiswife Sharon.
The funeral home staff also works withfamilies to offer reasonable pricing fortheir services and recently received a topranking from the Twin Cities ConsumerCheckbook for disclosing cost to clientsearly in their planning process.
The very best doesnt have to costyou more, in fact, it will probably cost youless, Purcell says.
Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell alsotopped the charts with superior ratings inthe Twin Cities Consumer Checkbook among funeral homes throughout themetro area in overall performance, proper service, pleasantness of staff andproviding advice on service options andcosts.
The fact that the funeral homereceived such positive ratings across theboard is a testament to Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell offering a full range of ser-vices from trusted professionals, starting
with the family who founded the businessin 1916.
The funeral home opened that year inSt. Paul and a second mortuary was builtin Shoreview in 1993.
Purcell says the staff includes licensed
morticians, who graduated from theUniversity of Minnesota with degrees inmortuary science. Theyre committed tohelping customers with their funeral-planning needs at affordable prices.
Clients can choose to have memo-rial services and receptions honoringtheir loved ones at either location andHolcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell willcoordinate burial or cremation services aswell, Purcell adds.
The staff can also oversee all thearrangements for funeral services at anychurch in the area.
The funeral home has the technologyto accommodate the wishes of clients
who would like to remember their lovedones with music, photographs or a videotribute.
Purcell says past services have featuredeverything from Dixieland bands to harpsolos to highlight their clients personalmemories of their loved ones.
We try to accommodate any requesta family makes to reflect, honor and cel-ebrate their loved ones life, Purcell says.Personalization is a big part of that.
In response to consumer demands,Purcell adds that families choosing crema-
tion may opt to have a funeral or memorialservice with a viewing of their loved ones
body present, then the cremation can takeplace after the service. This can be done atthe funeral home or at the familys church.
He finds this option is becoming morecommon, especially when clients knowout-of-town relatives and friends will beattending the service, Purcell says.
Most importantly, all the options forclients to consider are available at onelocation to provide them with ease andcomfort in an already difficult situation.
Many families are choosing to havereceptions at the funeral home so that
people can socialize and enjoy a cateredmeal after the funeral or memorial service.
A list of professional caterers is availableupon request.
We try to be a resource for families asfar as being a place where they can gatheroptions, and then of course the decision isultimately the families to decide what typeof service they want and then we makesure its carried through, Purcell says.
For the dedicated staff atHolcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home
and Cremation Services, provid-ing comfort to families who have
just lost a loved one is a top pri-ority.

Our arrangements come in all shapes and sizes. We believe a service should be as individual as theindividual. Thats why we respect the choice of cremation
as much as the choice of traditional burial. Whichever
you choose, your options are far from limited. In fact, both
allow for the same variety of services. No matter what
you preferences, you can count on us for choices.

Its not that you dont careabout your vision. But if stay-ing healthy means having youreyes dilated and subjected toair puff tests, you might thinkyoud be better off skipping thecheckup and waiting until younotice a problem before goingto the eye doctor.
Thats a scenario thatsall too familiar to Dr. RobertKennedy and Dr. Daniel Myersof Kennedy Eye Associates inRoseville.
It happens all the time, Dr.Myers says. Some people onlycome to our office when theyare having problems with theireyes.
The problem with thisapproach, Dr. Myers explains,is that by the time the symp-toms become severe enoughfor a person to seek help, somedegree of damage has already
been done damage thatcould have been prevented if ithad been caught earlier.
But Dr. Myers says he alsounderstands that some peoplehave unpleasant memoriesof visiting the eye doctor, and thats why Kennedy EyeAssociates implements the lat-est technology to ensure eachpatients visit is as comfortableand convenient as possible.
Some patients, for example, find the prospect of dilation isenough to postpone an appoint-ment.
A lot of people have theassumption that if you go tothe eye doctor, its going tomess up your vision all day,Dr. Myers says.
But by using Optimap imag-ing equipment, the doctors atKennedy Eye Associates canobtain the same information
by taking a digi tal image ofa patients retina avoidingdilation altogether.
We stay as up-to-date withthe technology here as we can,Dr. Myers explains.
High-tech,individualized care
Not only does the use ofcutting-edge technology makethings more convenient forpatients, it allows the doctors toaccomplish more with their time.Using equipment such as the cor-neal topographer, spectral micro-
scope, Visual Evoked Potentialsgives the doctors at Kennedy EyeAssociates the ability to detectserious problems such as glau-coma and macular degeneration
before they take hold. Now we can detect diseases
before symptoms are present,Dr. Myers says.
Besides fancy gadgets, Dr.Kennedy and Dr. Myers also
have the knowledge and experi-ence to find the best solutionsfor patients once a problem isdiagnosed. One of the manyservices provided by KennedyEye Associates is vision therapy, which helps people correct theroot problems in disorders likeamblyopia (also known as lazyeye.)
The doctors also help withnumerous other irritating issuessuch as dry eye a commonproblem during Minnesota win-ters. Dr. Myers emphasizes the
importance of finding a fix thatsjust right for the patient and theseverity, ranging from eye dropsand vitamin regimens to punctalocclusion, which works by slow-ing the eyes natural tear-drain-ing process.
The staff at Kennedy EyeAssociates realizes the best wayto help people is to make theexperience as convenient andindividually suited as possible, and that philosophy extendsfrom the doctors care all theway to the glasses you walk out
with.In the event that corrective
lenses are prescribed, KennedyEye Associates carries a broadselection of frames in the lateststyles and most popular brands,to make sure you leave yourappointment seeing well andlooking good.
Technology allows for gentler exams

Its not that you dont careabout your vision. Butif staying healthy means
having your eyes dilated andsubjected to air puff tests, youmight think youd be better offskipping the checkup and wait-ing until you notice a problembefore going to the eye doctor.

No Money Down And
No Interest For One Full Year!
John Kopas and business partner
Tom Link have been spreading the
word, and now the million-plus
people who use consumer reviews on
Angies List also know Abbey Carpet
is tops.
The Super Service Award
Angies List bestowed upon Abbey
Carpet shows that its one of only 5
percent of companies rated nation-
wide that receives top marks from
customers.
This isnt anything we could
have applied for or pursued, Kopassays. This all came from our cus-
tomers.
The Angies List rating follows
another from the nonprofit organiza-
tion Consumers Checkbook, which
also compiles customer reviews. In
Checkbooks listing, Abbey Carpet
in Mounds View posts a solid 100
percent satisfaction rate in overall
service compared to a metro-wide
average rating of 53 percent.
What difference does Abbeys
consulting expertise and trained
installation crew make?
You can find the same carpetsomewhere else, but the installation
is everything, Kopas says.
Hes backed up by Consumers
Checkbook, which warns homeown-
ers to check installers work for
wrinkles or ripples, gaps between
wall and carpet edge, unusually
conspicuous seams, irregular seams,
inconsistent shaping of carpet on
steps as well as glue stains and dam-
age to walls.
Poorly installed flooring can be
even worse and more expensive for
another contractor to correct. Wood
planks that shrink and gap, substan-dard underlayment, cracking ceramic
and sloppy grout are just the begin-
ning.
People think theyre getting
a deal at big-box stores, but they
often regret having to live with the
results, Kopas says.
Although people may be able
to find their carpet and flooring
choice somewhere other than Kopas
store, it is hard to imagine them
doing so without a couple of weeks
and several tanks of gas. Abbeys
10,000-square-foot space showcases
nearly 50 carpet brands, over 20
wood-flooring brands and myriadchoices in tile, ceramic and stone
floors. From cork to teak wood,
plush shag to commercial carpet
and marble to slate, you can find
just what youre looking for. Abbey
Carpet also carries area rugs and
window treatments, so customers can
see for themselves theyve chosen
the perfect match.
And for those who dont arrive
with an idea of what kind of carpet
they desire, Abbey Carpet also pro-
vides experienced interior designers
who will visit your home. Its hard
sometimes for customers to decide,
Kopas states. With the thousands ofhomes weve worked in, our design-
ers know what looks good and can
give customers that confidence.
Selection, quality and the willing-
ness to stand behind their work - its
all at Abbey Carpet.
