Kelly has always had the desire to make a difference
in the lives of others.
My work in physical therapy
provided me the ability to
help individuals with many
different debilitating
injuries, illnesses, and other
medical conditions. All of my
patients, from adolescents to
seniors, inpatients to
outpatients, stroke patients
to sports injuries had an
impact on me personally.
Working with people in their
greatest time of need was a
valuable, rewarding, and
impactful experience for me.
It taught me patience with a
variety of personalities. It
taught me how to cheer and
inspire in an otherwise
trying time. It taught me
how to motivate and
mobilize people to achieve
their goals. But most of all it
taught me that I have the
ability to change a life for the
better and that was the
easiest and hardest thing for
me to realize.

Kelly Petti History
First and foremost, I have a need to be relevant, participatory, effective and successful in my personal life as well as my work life. I have realized early on in my career that my enthusiasm and influence has an effect on individuals in the way of motivating and mobilizing them to be successful. To survive and thrive in the current market will take an innovative, effective, and attentive individual — I can help you accomplish your objectives. I am in search of an organization that is experiencing growth with strong and innovative leadership, has a clear vision, is a market leader, and has the sincere intention to make an impact. What I offer in return is sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution, and results.
Currently, I am the New England Regional Manager for the American Red Cross leading a staff of 9 account executives and 2 administrative support staff. As the territory manager, I am responsible for a $6 million dollar goal for Preparedness, Health and Safety Services (PHSS). I have recruited, hired, and trained top level account executives to lead a unified sales strategy to drive revenue in preparedness, health, and safety to Fortune 1000 corporations and small businesses throughout our 6 state division in a difficult economic environment. I developed an integrated culture in sales, service delivery, aquatics, license training providers, and authorized providers management to develop best practices for PHSS sales and delivery to individual, government, and corporate clients in New England. I joined the American Red Cross in January of 2012 as the Manager for Massachusetts. I have since been promoted to manage all 6 states in New England and have created a team approach that has been adopted throughout our division. I have successfully created collaborative relationships by bridging silos between divisions to build a shared vision toward meeting organizational goals. We now have a clear direction for collaboration when approaching fortune 500 companies to increase revenue including development, blood services, disaster services and preparedness in health and safety.
Prior to the American Red Cross, I held the position of Senior Regional Director for the American Heart Association (AHA) in charge of 3 markets including: Boston, Central Mass, and Merrimack Valley for 8 years. I was the recipient of the 2006/2007 National Circle of Excellence for Business Development and Fundraising Award and was responsible for a $3 million dollar fundraising goal. I was successful in my fundraising efforts and created the largest AHA affiliate event with a 95 percent increase in sponsorship dollars while simultaneously reducing expenses. I was able to increase the walk participation by more than 200 percent to 15,000 participants through an innovative marketing strategy, the appropriate utilization of my direct reports (4 directors, an executive assistant, and a marketing coordinator), volunteer engagement, and successfully working with my executive leadership board.

Initially, I began at the AHA as the Director of Quality Improvement Initiatives for the New England territory. I was promoted to Senior Regional Director after one year. Through partnerships with all of New England’s hospitals and working with physicians in the hospitals’ emergency, neurological, and cardiovascular departments I was able to exceed my contract goals. My performance objectives included an 85 percent retention rate of current “Get with the Guidelines” hospitals and 3 new contracts for stroke, coronary artery disease (CAD) and heart failure (HF). In a 10 month time my credits include, but are not limited to obtaining 31 new stroke contracts, 9 CAD contracts, and 5 heart failure contracts while functioning at a 96 percent retention rate. Through building relationships with the Department of Public Health and Mass Pro, I was able to achieve a 92 percent market penetration for participating hospitals in the state of Massachusetts. It is because of this success that the AHA’s national center asked me to train directors and vice presidents for the country on interactive strategic selling skills.
Specific areas of skills include:
Adept strategist with keen market sense and proven ability to resolve complex problems, open markets, and achieve record fundraising numbers
Skilled negotiator with track record of forging strategic partnerships to drive long-term business growth
Results oriented leader who consistently surpassed objectives regarding driving market share, revenue, and profit growth
Successfully managed key accounts and cultivated high level relationships
Honored member of the Circle of Excellence in Business Development and Fundraising awardees and recognized as one of the top markets for the National American Heart Association
Adept at collaborating with advisory boards and senior management to create a comprehensive strategic vision
In closing, I have achieved a solid track record of success throughout my career. My ability to optimize relationships, productivity, fundraising, quality, and sales through best practices would be a strong asset to your organization. It is for those reasons that I respectfully submit my resume. I am confident that I would make a valuable contribution to your organization’s efforts. Should there be further questions, please contact me at 508-561-9053 or by email at [email protected]. Sincerely, Kelly Petti, MSM

“It is definitely true that people leave bosses and not companies...the opposite is true as well that people stay for bosses they appreciate. I have worked for Kelly at the American Heart Association and now again at the American Red Cross. As a manager she is a tireless supporter of her staff. She is a manager who is honest, driven and passes her talents along to her staff. Having a boss who you would say ‘Yes, I would work for them again’ is a rare and valuable thing. She works diligently for causes she believes in which wooed me back to working for her at the Red Cross. When she is successful she makes sure to shine the light on her staff, a quality that shows her sincere appreciation for the team she leads. As a salesperson Kelly's style is aggressive yet poised, a combination that has made her advance quickly at AHA and ARC. She trains her staff with the knowledge she has amassed in sales technique, which is vast. I trust Kelly to sell anything that she believes in and to always see the bigger picture, never letting an opportunity slip by unexplored. She builds longstanding relationships and true partnerships that stand the test of time through honesty and boldness. I'm thankful to have Kelly as a manager and as a model of a strong female leader.” Tara Craft Humanitarian Professional
