NDER 16 WYNDHAMVALE V MANOR LAKESfter last weeks big game it was always going to be difficult to get motivated playing the bottom side. I could see we were not switched on ine rooms before the game, it took a blast even before we ran out to get us into the right frame of mind.e wanted to make sure we put in a consistent effort each week and keep our performance up to a high standard. We kicked 6 goals in eachthe first 3 quarters so we were consistent with that but I think our standard slipped a little.

ur last quarter was our worst, we couldnt capitalise on our opportunities and were outscored by Manor Lakes but the damage was done and

e ran out 78 point winners. Pleasing to have a good spread of goal kickers again with Jimmy relishing his switch up forward and booting 5ajors. Jordan Taylor came up from the under 14s to sit on the bench for us and went on and snagged a goal also. Well done Jordo.s I said last week its important we maintain focus on the job each week. It is really tight at the top end of the ladder and we cant afford toop any more games.

Another good win by our boys on Sunday. It's amazing what you can achieve by playing four quarters of footy! Our game was played in perfect conditions and our boys made the most of their opportunities. It was a great team win, with everybodycontributing in their own little way.Sunday was a special occasion for Jack Logan who played his 50th game for our club. Jack is a player who is hard at it and en joys everyminute he is out there. I have had the pleasure of coaching Jack for all 50 of his games, and i am proud of his achievement, even if I don'tknow what's install for me from one week to the next:))Matthew Capela had another stand out game kicking four goals and was well supported by Mouse up forward. Brad Kelly had a terrificgame and as usual so did the general down back Scotty Obrien.Keep up the hard work boys and the rewards will come!

This week we were away to Sanctuary Lakes. It was a game between 2nd and 3rd on the ladder. It was a very even gamefor the first 3 qtrs, but our marking and kicking to targets let us down. I am not the one to bag umpires but that was our big-gest let down for the day which cost us a number of goals. But all is still good, heads up boys we have four big games leftthat could see us playing finals football.Keep up the hard work.Congratulations to Luke for winning the Heartland award this week.

his week, we played Point Cook. Again we started off slow. Whatever we tried didn't seem to be working so we decided tohange our style of play. The second half saw our style of football coming back and we started to move the ball fast to ourrward line and lock it in. We had more of the ball in the second half then Point Cook. We were able to out score point cookr 2 quarters. We seem to find our feet a lot more then what we have been. A lot of good things came out of the last quarter.lot of smothers, fantastic marks and kicks. Congratulations to everyone who won coach's encouragement awards. Well

one to Brandan who won the Heartland award.

his weeks game saw us front up at Price Reserve for our home game to play Deer Park. This was not to be one of ourest games but I am hoping we did learn a few things from the outing.

enty of new faces in the team is encouraging, but it does make for interesting first halves in a game. It also took us ahile (most of the game) to adapt to the slippery conditions.ur tackling, chasing and commitment couldnt be faulted. Our skill level was a little off and this provided them with easyossessions .

hink this game is one we need to get over quickly and look to next week

he sun was shining, spirits were high and the boys were ready to rock and roll. Today we played Werribee Centrals at home with 2 boyslebrating birthdays, Chase Smith 30/6/13 and Braeden Robinson 1/7/13. Happy Birthday lads. Also a long awaited return by Ky Short after being out for the last 6 games due to a fractured wrist. Welcome back mate.

he 1stquarter, showed how determined they were to win. Good ball was provided in the ruck by Brenton Cox, as he outjumped his oppo-nt, then our hungry on ballers Jordan Taylor, Joshua Mould and Liam Jones were there to move the ball on to our running for wards Ky

hort, Brayden Young, Zeb Adams, who fed the ball to the awaiting and sure hands of our forwards, Braeden Robinson, Soni Rainbow andyle Sadkowski. Posting 4/5.Due to excellent work from our ever so hard working backs, Isaiah Kumar, Matthew Paul, Lucas Datson, Chasemith, Nicholas Parsons and Daniel Kimpton, kept Centrals goalless and only allowing them to score 2 behinds. With goals coming fromoni Rainbow (2), Joshua Mould (1) and Jordan Taylor (1).GREAT RUNNING ON AND SHARING OF BALL

The next quarter showed that the boys were still playing as a team scoring another 4/3 due to hard running on, second efforts, getting overe top of ball which resulted in goals from Josh (2), Ky (1),Soni (1) and 3 near misses. Centrals only managed to score 1 goal. Our inter-ange bench, Michael Kelly, Matthew Bullard, Brayden Yates and Matthew Paul, worked hard when they took the field giving players aserved rest and keeping up the pressure throughout. CONTINUED PRESSUREThe 3rd quarter, a few changes were made, netting us good results,Ky (2) Soni (1) Kuol (1) and Nicholas (1) and another 6 behinds.

    REAT TEAM WORK

The final quarter our boys were asked for a 10 goal home run. They had 10 shots at it with 6 of them being single pointers and goals toatthew Paul (1) Soni Rainbow (1) Kyle Sadkowski (1) and one of our birthday boys Braeden Robinson had his 3 rd crack at a goal, finally

uiding it through, netting himself $45 from Mum. PASSION, HUNGER AND GUTS

verall at GREAT TEAM win and EFFORT by ALL.KEEP UP THE INTENCITY AND PASSION

    Youth Girls

Today was a replay of last years grand final. School holidays and a few key players away saw a few of the girls with their heads downbefore the first bounce. It was a very disappointing first qtr by the girls, letting their opposition take a 27 point lead into the first break. With a bit of a rev up and lot of encouragement saw the girls start the second quarter in a better state of mind. We lost the final 3 quar-

ters by only 14 points, imagine what the scores would have been if we had started the first, like we did the second.

    Food for thought:

You have power to change the game

On any given day a great team can be beaten so don't be scared

Umpires wont change their decision, so don't argue about it

Training as a team helps you to play as a Team

Head over the ball gets rewarded

    Get to the ball first

Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work

Run, run, and run some more

Leave nothing left in your tank, when the game is finished

Success will come, but only after the hard work has been done

Goals: Bridget, Stacey, KKBest: Stacey, KK, Rhiannon, Sarah, Jaileigh, Jovy

Congratulations to Tori who played who 50th game today..
