Track Fast Weather Windy
Great to see so many Mothers at the game and i hope they enjoyed the day as much as their sons did. We got off to a
good start, Ty set the standard with a great chase down, Soni and Chase were proving a handful for the opposition and
Max playing a top game with his second efforts being rewarded with lots of possessions. Josh was outstanding with his
hard running and accurate disposal not only early but for the full four quarters. Kuol again did some great work all day
but his awareness and his willingness to work for his teammates saw him run deep into the defensive area to save a
certain goal.
Qtr time saw us 4.4 to 2.0
n the second qtr with the wind we unfortunately played the outer non scoring side for most of the qtr and consequently
only scored 3 goals The highlight of the qtr was seeing Brob playing so well and enjoying his footy. Issy was giving us
plenty of run out of defence.
Half time saw us 7.4 to 2.1
Again we played well into the wind running the ball forward and solid defence thru Zeb who was good all day, Jordan
was reading the game well, providing lots of drive forward, and shepherding his teammates at any chance he could.
Josh continued to dominate the game racking up numerous possessions. Soni was extremely hard to get past in de-
fence. Kuol snagged a great goal our only one for the qtr but we restricted the opp to 1 goal who had the wind.
3 qtr time 8.6 to 3.3
Last qtr saw us kick 5goals to the opp 1goal We finished the game well with the goals in this qtr coming from 5 differ-
ent players and 9 goal kickers on the day, it is good to know we spread the goal kicking around and not have to be reli-
ant on a single target.
Final score saw us winning 13.8 to 4.4
This game saw Ty, Max, Brob and Lucas go up a level and they should feel confident in the fact that are able to play
real good footy and have some fun with it.
The team is gaining respect each time we play as a hard and disciplined side that can move the ball quickly We have
mprovement to come and we will need it as most teams will improve throughout the season. Rest, Recover and pre-
pare for Yarraville Seddon.

Under 12s Wyndhamvale 2113 defeated by St. Bernards 4832Hi All,This week we played our first away game of the season against St. Bernards. We also played at a lot later time slothan what the kids are used too. The later start time really hurt because my players were not switched on like they
have been. This is not the reason why we lost the game, and neither was it because of the umpiring, nor for the facthat we only had 16 players. It was because the boys went against all of our team rules and did not obey anythinghat was said. They played where ever they felt like, didn't man up and didn't want to put in the second efforts.
Todays game also had a few upsides, and things that we could all smile about. Jake S. efforts never faulted, neitherdid his thirst to mark a ball high on his opponents shoulders, which won him the heartland reward. Well done Mate!Ardens long kick on goal, Rhys that landed more tackles than we have ever seen in a game, Tylers quick thinking
also landed himself with a goal.
This week we will be going back to basics and team discipline will be high on our agenda.
Thanks once again to the few parents that are helping out on game day.. You know who you are
Best: Arden, Jake S, Rhys, Lukas, Iziah, Kaiden.
Goals: Arden, Tyler

UNDER 16 WYNDHAMVALE V ALTONA
Another hard day at the office against Altona who are 3rd on the ladder. After a fairly even start we gradually got onop in the first quarter and went into quarter time with a 15 point lead. We dominated the second, kicking against the
wind and kept Altona to a solitary goal. We did this by working together and running hard. This was our best quarter
of the game which saw us leading by 33 points at half time.
Once again we fell asleep in the third, maybe we thought the game was over and didnt pay the opposition due re-
spect. We let them kick six straight goals and gave them a sniff of a chance of winning. By playing lazy football we
only lead by 12 points at the last change.
After a blast at three quarter time we came out and played much better team footy to run out 20 point winners.Against better sides we cant relax for one moment, we have to keep working hard for each other for the whole four
quarters. If we are willing to work hard the rewards will come.

Youth Girls
Going into the game with Amanda, Jovy, Bridgey, Stace, Tiff and Macca not playing we knew was always going tobe a massive task infront of us taking on last years edfl premiers Pascoe Vale.
As we only had 12 players their coach lent us 3 players per quarter, this led to the down fall as they did everythinghey could to not get the ball. Although this was disappointing and at some times frustrating, I was very happy as a
coach knowing only the week before when we helped out Melbourne Uni for players everyone was willing to have ago with Nomi and KK even kicking goals against us, true sportsmanship helping others.
First quarter started with us kicking up hill into the wind, Kira was relentless with her 2nd efforts and run which re-sulted in our only goal on the siren, we kept the pressure on which showed with many points kicked by paco.2nd quarter we really started to attack well, with nomi kicking a massive bomb from outside 50 and Sabrin with asnap out of the pack. 3rd we lost Brooke early in the quarter with an ankle, having a man down cost us as their num-ber 6 kicked 2 quick running goals and set up a few more, Brooke went on again and was told to stand in the goalsquare and although injured still kicked a very nice snap from the boundary.
The last quarter we had the wind so if we kept running we would be rewarded, Tori's run off the half back was bril-iant all day and set up nomi again with another freak Lewis Jetta like goal. Sabrins ruck work and work rate was
also a stand out all game winning every tap to set up the on ballers.
Pascoe vale are apparently the top 1-3 team in the comp, although it looks like we got pumped this game we didn't,18-12 on the ground is always going to be difficult, everyone stepped up and we didn't have a bad player on theground, when we get our more experienced players back I'm sure it will easily be a 10 goal turn around on the scoreboard.Go vales!
