The enrollment within the academic education in Romania is conditioned by obtaining a Letter of acceptance for studies. The necessary documents for the issuance of the Letter of acceptance for studies: APPLICATION FOR THE ISSUANCE of the Letter of acceptance for studies read the attach ( and annexed standard form); 1. Photocopy and authenticated translation of the certificate of studies; 2. The list of results of the completed study years (Academic Transcripts) for postgraduate studies applicants and for those wishing to continue studies started in other countries (photocopy and authenticated translation) 3. Photocopy and authenticated translation of the birth certificate; 4. Photocopy of the passport; 5. Medical certificate (translated in a language widely spread internationally). If it is proven that the level of language proficiency is under the minimum accepted level, the curriculum for the first semester will contain intensive courses for the study of the respective language. The Engineering Faculty in Foreign Languages ( FIRST CYCLE) has the following specializations: in the engineering field - Civil Engineering in English and Civil Engineering in French. At the Faculty of Building Equipment for Constructions, we have the specialization: Building Equipment for Constructions in French. For all, the duration of studies is of 4 years, day courses for engineering at graduation the title of engineer . The candidates who wish to attend their studies in Romanian can attend a preparatory year of Romanian language study within the University of Bucharest or the University of Pitesti, on request. The academic year starts on October 1st, 2013, and you can arrive at our university

around this date.

For First Cycle: Bachelor’s studies ( Eng. 4 years in Romanian, English, or French

language) and for Second Cycle Masterate ( 2 years) the tuition fee is of 270 EURO/month,

(2700 EURO/ academic years). And according to the existing regulations within the Romanian

higher education system, the language test is of 270 Euro. Persons that come from countries

where the official language is the tuition language and can prove, with documents, that they

attended courses in that language are exempted from this test.

In case accommodation is needed, the university can ensure accommodation in the

campus of the university and meals at the canteen (the total cost being approximately 200 - 250

Euro/month).

Note: Our university organise 23 Masterate in Romanian language. Since 2013/2014 we

organise 2 masterate in English and French: Structural Engineering and 1 Masterate of

research in English: Interactions in the built environment.

Cycle III ( Doctorate studies) : Graduates of 5 year undergraduate studies (in this case 4

years undergraduate + 1 or 2 years masterate) having an engineering degree ( min. 300 ECTS)

are allowed to register for a doctoral programme . Doctorate studies are organized as a full time

(intra-mural) programmes. The period of study is of 3 years maximum 4 years. The documents

required for the admission of foreign citizens for undergraduate studies are:

a copy of the university graduation diploma;

a copy of the birth certificate;

a medical certificate.

Activities within the doctoral programme (examination, reports, thesis) can be carried out

either in Romanian or in a foreign language (English or French). Tuition: The fee is 2900 Euro

per year.

Also, in case accommodation is needed, the university can ensure accommodation in the

campus of the university and meals at the canteen (the total cost being approximately 200-250

Euro/month).

NOTE: UTCB is one of the prestigious universities in Romania, with over 125 year- tradition in

the Romanian technical tertiary education and with a wide spread national and international recognition.

The Romanian Agency for Quality Asurance In Higher Education (ARACIS) has qualified our university

as having a HIGH STANDARD OF RELIABILITY and our graduates enjoy good appreciation both at home and abroad, being recognized as top specialists in their field.

The UTCB management take special care for all students (those from abroad included) and,

besides their professional training, they are all offered free assistance and counseling (medical one as well) for the entire duration of their study. As far as the study acceptance letter and the ensuing

enrollment formalities are concerned, UTCB offers free assistance and counseling for all the stages

involved: the letter itself and following the enrollment, the resident permit, accommodation in the

university campus etc. Following the student’s receipt of the study acceptance letter and his/her payment of the tuition

fee in the university account, UTCB assures the applicant’s study position till his/her arrival in the

country and his/her effective enrollment and, on request, an accommodation reservation in a students’ hostel, also taking into consideration (possibilities permitting) certain preferences: room mates of the

same nationality, religion etc.

Taking into account the efforts UTCB make for assuring its students optimum living and training conditions, we bring to your attention the fact that in accordance with the Regulations regarding the

students’ activity in UTCB, following the payment of the tuition fee and the students’ enrollment (both

Romanian and foreign) no withdrawal or transfers to other universities are accepted with the

reimbursement of the tax paid during the first year of study.
