Technology Survey Results

Surety Systems developed the 2013 JDE Technology Survey to

allow the JD Edwards community to compare their experience and

thoughts to others in the large JDE Community. This survey

reports the results of over 500 JDE client managers. It aims to

serve as a benchmark for the JDE community as a whole. This

year’s survey explores topics ranging from version and function usage

to JDE business challenges. The survey’s results are presented

graphically to provide a summary of participant responses. Data was

collected during a three week period In Q4 of 2013. Our survey was open

to all participants through our website, www.suretysystems.com and we

encouraged participation with email invitations and through various social

media outlets.

Over 500 individuals participated in this survey. All

participants live and work in the United States for

companies who currently utilize the JD Edwards

offering.

Observations by Surety Systems

• Upgrading to the latest version of JD Edwards is not a top priority. Over 50% of both

EnterpriseOne and World participants stated they will not upgrade to the latest JDE version

within the next year. In addition, over 34% of participants in both segments have not current

plan to upgrade.

• Strong JD Edwards Loyalty Over 79% of EnterpriseOne participants and 63% of World

participants stated their company planned to use JDE as their long term ERP solution.

• JD Edwards EnterpriseOne workload continues to grow Over 515% of EnterpriseOne

participants stated their company’s JDE Workload will increase in 2014 with an additional 34.4%

stating it will stay the same. Work participants responded less aggressively with only 24.6%

stating that their workload will increase and 48% stating it will remain the same.

• Low interest in JD Edwards In-Memory Applications and One View Reporting Over 87% of

EnterpriseOne participants stated they have no plans to implement any In-Memory applications

and over 68% said they had no plans for One View Reporting.

• Low participation level in JDE User Group Communities Only 8.7% of EnterpriseOne and 3.3%

of World participants claim to be very involved in JDE user communities. An additional 43.4% of

EnterpriseOne and 51.6% of World participants state they are not involved at all.
