AIRPORT SHUTTLE The closest airport is Kelowna International Airport. All athletes are responsible for their own travel from the airport to Big White. Big White is only a quick shuttle away with the service taking you from Kelowna Airport to Big White Ski Resort in no time at all. Big White owns the shuttle service so you can book through Central Reservations. They will pick you up from the airport and drop you right off outside your accommodation. Shuttles must be reserved 72 hours prior to arrival. If there are no scheduled pickups, the shuttle buses do not operate. Shuttle times and rates are subject to change. TEAM INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION Registration fees are $650 per rider (see above Riders Package, includes 5 nights accommodation, 5 days: lift ticket, breakfast ($10) and dinner ($20) vouchers and 2 entry fees). Registration Fee Payments can be made through the Canada~Snowboard online membership system found at: https://snowboard.sportingdna.ca/en/users/login. Domestic Competitors: Login, select the “Events” tab on your profile, find the event (IPC Para-Snowboard World Cups) and then follow the directions to provide payment. A receipt from Netbanx will be emailed to you. International Competitors: Register as an International Competitor. Login, select the “Events” tab on your profile, find the event (IPC Para-Snowboard World Cups) and then follow the directions to provide payment. A receipt from Netbanx will be emailed to you. Once you have paid the registration fee, make sure to complete the “Accommodation Request Form”, and email to: [email protected] On-Line Registration for this event closes on Wednesday, March 20 at 11:59pm EST. There will not be any on-site registration for this event. The Canada~Snowboard Refund Policy is outlined on the event website: http://www.canadasnowboard.ca/en/events/resources/ Note: A valid and current IPCAS License is required to compete. Participants must ensure they are appropriately insured, including coverage for travel, liability and accidents. Each participant must have appropriate accident and health insurance in order to race in international competitions. For more information please contact: [email protected]. TEAM CAPTAINS’ MEETINGS Each country must provide at least one Team Captain per discipline to represent their team of athletes at the competition and at the TC Meetings. Team Captains’ Meetings will be held each night. The time for the TC meetings are in the detailed event schedule. Once on site, please refer to the daily official event program that you will receive at registration for daily times. It is up to each team to ensure that the appropriate officials attend the meetings each evening. One part of the Team Captain’s role is to ensure that all of their athletes are on the Registration List. The Team Captain is also required to pick up their team’s bibs after the bib draw and check the bib numbers for accuracy before leaving the meeting. SANCTION This event is sanctioned by Canada~Snowboard and IPC as a Para-Snowboard World Cup. RULES Certified helmets are mandatory for all training and competitions. This event will be organized and run in accordance with the IPC Rule Book.

VOLUNTEERS AND OFFICIALS The IPC Para-Snowboard World Cup at Big White Ski Resort, March 25-30, 2013 will need support of Volunteers and Officials. There are a number of on-snow and off-snow positions available throughout the event week. Positions available include positions such as Assistant Starter, Finish Referee, Course Marshalls, Course Maintenance, Gate Judges, Timing and Tabulation Assistant and more! This is a great opportunity to further advance your skills and to support your Para-Snowboard Teams as they compete in the event. Volunteers and Officials are vital to the success of this event. We highly value the time volunteers donate to the event and aim to provide a fun, community experience for all who join our team. Volunteers will be provided with lunch on the days that you work and there will be a perk gift for those who volunteer for a certain amount of days.
