Welcome… We would like to invite you to the 2013 AUTUMN CLASSIC SHORTHORN SALE. This year we are offering for sale 15 lots of top Shorthorn genetics. It is quite the lineup of excellent show prospects for next year, and breeding stock that will lead the future for your herd. The future success of any breed is often measured by the juniors involved. In recognition of that we are very pleased to offer a Junior Incentive Purchase Program. The details are outlined in the catalogue. We would also like to take time to express a sincere thank you to all past supporters of the Autumn Classic. It is because of you that the sale momentum and success continues to grow. Terms & Conditions... TIME – Saturday October 26, 2013 following the Hereford and Angus sales beginning at
12:30pm.
TERMS OF SALE - Are cash (cheques accepted) unless previous arrangements are made
with owner. Owner has one protective bid.
GUARENTEE – We hereby guarantee that subject to proper treatment, care and exercise, all
animals are warranted to be breeders. In the event of an animal proving to be a non-breeder,
after receiving proper care and attention, we agree to supply the purchaser with an animal of
approximately equal age, quality and breeding, or to refund 90% of the purchase price,
providing the purchaser files a protect and proof in writing with us within six months of the date
of sale, but we may if we desire, have the animal returned for a retrial for a period not to exceed
six months. If the animal proves not to be a breeder then the purchaser receives the substitute
or refund as stipulated above.
ACCIDENTS – Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of
buyers, neither the sale manager, auctioneer or Nova Scotia Shorthorn Association Breeders
assume any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability or otherwise in the event of
accident or loss of property.
NOTE – The members of the N.S. Shorthorn Association or the Sale Management are not
responsible for the errors in this list. Statements from the auction box takes precedence over printed material.

Hazelgreen Reggie is a solid red smooth
bull calf from two year old, Hazelgreen
Frosty’s Dream who is sired by the
legendary Alta Cedar Samurai. Reggie is
sired by the easy calving specialist, Alta
Cedar Royalty, making him an ideal choice
to use on heifers. He is appendix free and
will be DNA and TH tested by sale day.
Here’s a Murango – Touchdown bull calf
with a quiet disposition who shows real
promise as a herd sire. Correct and meaty,
we think he'll do someone a lot of
good! His full brother sold to Ontario last
fall and is working in a commercial
herd. Born unassisted with a 90 lb. birth
weight.

“Crawfdown Churchill” left a lot of good
offspring and this bull calf most resembles
his sire. He was class winner and
Champion Shorthorn Male at the Nova
Scotia Provincial Exhibition in Truro this
summer.
Any junior who purchases at the 2013 Autumn Classic Sale and registers the animal in their
name will receive a 10% discount off the total purchase price at the time of payment. To be
eligible junior members must be 21 years of age or younger as of January 1st, 2014, in
conjunction with the Canadian Shorthorn Association, and reside in a Maritime province.

This is a halter broke and shown roan bull.
Weaning weight of 650lbs; yearling weight
of 1245lbs. His sire was in the top 5 bulls
of all breeds at the Nappan Test Station
with 15.8 rib eye over 1300lb yearling
weight.
“Avalanche” was a stand out since birth,
out of our foundation cow, Fraser’s April’s
Kaleigh 1K and sired by Fraser’s Xman
3X, a Diamond Captain Mark grandson. A
half brother to this calf was herd sire for
the Nappan Research Farm. This solid red
December calf has lots of depth and
thickness. He has an excellent disposition
and is halter broke. Avalanche is horned
and appendix free.

Touchdown calves and we’re sure you will

cow at 13 years of age but looks like a
young cow. She should be herd building

“Go Kendra” is another Murango heifer out
of a Muridale Touchdown daughter that
has shown promise since birth. We kept
her full sister from last year’s calf crop and
boy has she ever developed into a thick
impressive yearling. This heifer looks
identical and will develop into a great
producer.
