Mozambique LNG
• A New Source of LNG from One of the Most Prolific Natural Gas Basins in the World
• Project Sponsors with Proven Experience in Safe and Reliable Delivery of Deepwater, World-Scale Projects
• Committed to Sustainably Developing a New Strategic Supply of Energy for the World
• Safely Developing a Transformational Opportunity for Mozambique, Focusing on Environmental Stewardship and Social Responsibility
Safely Advancing World-Class Discoveries Offshore Mozambique
Mozambique LNG views the opportunity to work in Mozambique as a privilege and recognizes the power of energy development to lift the
economic status of entire nations. In 2010, the sponsoring companies of Mozambique LNG opened a new petroleum province with one of the
world’s largest natural gas discoveries at the Windjammer prospect in Mozambique’s Offshore Area 1. Since that time, the sponsors have
drilled more than 10 successful exploration/appraisal wells in the deepwater Rovuma Basin, revealing two major natural gas complexes that
represent transformational opportunities for Mozambique. As a result of ongoing exploration success, Mozambique LNG in coordination with
the operator of an adjacent block are working to advance a world-scale LNG (liquefied natural gas) park, allowing the capability to produce
approximately 50 million tonnes of LNG per annum – enough to of elevate Mozambique to one of the world’s largest exporters of LNG over time
About the Offshore Area 1In the deepwater Rovuma Basin, Offshore Area 1 encompasses approximately 2.6
million gross acres in northern Mozambique. The exploration activities in the Offshore
Area 1 to date, have resulted in six of the world’s largest discoveries in 2010,
2011 and 2012 at the Windjammer, Barquentine, Lagosta, Camarão, Golfinho and
Atum prospects.* These natural gas accumulations are located in water depths of
approximately 5,000 feet, which is well-aligned with the skill sets of the Mozambique
LNG sponsors and their project-management experience.

About Mozambique LNGMozambique LNG is emerging as a leader in the
global LNG industry, with up to 65-plus trillion
cubic feet (Tcf) of estimated recoverable naturalgas (approaching 100 Tcf of original gas in place
(OGIP)) discovered to date in Mozambique’s
Offshore Area 1.
Mozambique LNG has the expertise, skills and
knowledge to safely deliver one of the world’s
most significant LNG projects with first LNG sales
expected in 2018.
Sharing Prosperity and Priorities
As the Mozambique’s LNG development advances, the sponsors are committed to sustainability. This
commitment is aligned with the priorities identified in Mozambique’s Action Plan
for the Reduction of Absolute Poverty, the United Nations Millennium Development
Goals, and the project-identified Social Impact Assessment. This framework
includes three focus areas:
• Health: Investing in programs focused on ensuring the health of our workforce and
improving the health of surrounding communities
• Education: Advancing programs to develop skills and knowledge to empower
local citizens
• Environment: Taking action to preserve the natural environment and enhance the
business environment
Partners in Education
In March 2012, a collaborative agreem
with Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM
in Maputo was announced, aimed at
developing expertise and support to
strengthen engineering and geoscience
education. An assessment by theUniversity of Oklahoma and Texas A&M
University in the U.S., provides a clear
direction toward developing curriculum
that can allow UEM to produce the calib
of graduates needed to fill important ro
in the energy industry, and keep top tale
in Mozambique.
Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos, E.P.
Mozambique’s geographic location enables it to export LNG to
customers in Asian, European and other global markets.
