Beloved

Its got that Golden Glow that all Amouage perfumes possess but here the glow is mellower, softer. Beloved as a powdery

floral-oriental and as a contemporary fragrance that feels vintage in style and quality. Its introductory phase smells slightly

herbaceous, with the clary sage waving a quick greeting before the composition moves ahead into its flowery and spicy-resiny

stages. The floral heart is a little bit sweet and a little bit slinky, with a dose of dusty-sweet jasmine and some sharper ylang-

ylang beneath it. Beloved later reveals an animalic swirl of civet and castoreum (their synthetic equivalents, at least!) and a hintof leather, the sort of notes that rarely appear in todays feminine fragrances, while still remaining womanly. Hours after

application, the fragrance feels much softer than it did at the outset, leaving an accord of ambery and resinous notes clinging to

the skin. Beloved has excellent longevity, and its lingering traces on a scarf or jacket cuff smell wonderful the next day.

The aromatic top notes are dominated by the rose and the jasmine, with a blend of spicy white flowers in the heart. The leather

and vanilla warm base is underlined with rich woods, resin and animalic notes, increasing the intensity of the composition.

Additional notes include lavender, clary sage, clove, chamomile, cardamom, ylang ylang, violet, everlasting, cistus, benzoin,

olibanum, patchouli, cedar, sandalwood, castoreum, civet, musk, maltol and amber.

Beloved was developed for Amouage by perfumer Bernard Ellena and includes top notes of jasmine, purple rose, lavender, clary sage, clovebud, chamomile, and cardamom; heart notes of ylang-ylang, violet, everlasting [immortelle], cistus, benzoin, olibanum, and patchouli; and basenotes of cedarwood, sandalwood, castoreum, civet, leather, musk, vanilla, maltol, and amber.

In keeping with the grand traditions of Arabian perfume making, and to mark its 25th Anniversary, Amouage presents itslimited edition attar Homage.

Homage was created by master attar-blenders under the guidance of Amouages Creative Director, Christopher Chong.The attar is a heady floral, dominated by Rose Taifi, the finest quality oil extracted from the petals of a rose, which isfamed throughout the Gulf for its rich and romantic essence. The name derives from the ancient city of Taif where the

precious rose was grown and guarded by the Saudi Kings who ruled the city, as a valuable and rare treasure.

Complementing this, the finest Silver Frankincense, Tayyiba, a beautiful blend of Jasmine and Sweet Amber, Silver Oudand Al Andalus, a subtle blend of Citrus and Sandalwood.
