TotalCompensation
Reported annually onthe Public SectorSalary Disclosure
Compensation isdetermined by theBoard through salarysurveys andbenchmarkcomparisons withsimilar hospitals and isdivided between abase salary component(approximately 75%)
and pay forperformancecomponent(approximately 25%).A Committee of theBoard recommends aplan for compensation,including performancetargets, to the Boardeach year andundertakesperformance reviews
with the CEO at sixmonth intervals.
Positions are evaluated usinga job evaluation program andassigned to a correspondingsalary grid. Progressionthrough the salary grid isbased upon hospitalanniversary date and isinformed by the annualperformance reviews by theCEO. Executive
compensation program isreviewed by the Board ofDirectors annually.

Performancebased at-riskpayment
As per CEO contract. Up to 10% of annual salary,50% of which is directly relatedto the achievement of the
hospitals quality ImprovementPlan (QIP). The performancebased payment is measuredagainst achievement of agreedupon goals and objectives.
BenefitAllowance
In addition toextended health,dental and lifeinsurance benefits,the CEO and VicePresidents areentitled to a health
spending accountequivalent to 1.75%of their annual salary.Note: this does notapply to Dr. Sharma.
Pension
The CEO and VicePresidents areenrolled in HOOPP(Healthcare ofOntario PensionPlan), a definedbenefit plan. Note:
neither Dr. Sharmanor Dr. McFadyenparticipate in thepension plan.
SeveranceSeverance is onlyprovided upontermination.
Parking A parking spot is provided and is charged to the employee.Car Allowance/Mileage
There are no carallowances providedand work relatedmileage is paid as
per hospital policy forall staff.
