Summerville Communications including the Summerville Journal Scene,Berkeley Independent and The Gazette, are proud to present the inauguraledition of The Senior Resource Guide. The first of its kind in the area, this

guide provides detailed information on just about any service or organizationLowcountry seniors may need in their everyday lives.

Your community newspapers saw a need for a resource containing businessesand non-profit organizations from various categories our growing senior commu-nity would frequently need. Through the help of Trident Area Agency on Aging(Trident AAA), we condensed this information into one publication allowingSeniors and their family members to refer to it as a trusted source whenever theneed arises.

Based on a list provided by Trident AAA, we extended the listings in order togive a more in-depth description of the services they offer to better assist you. Inaddition to the name, address, and phone number of a business, a broaderdescription is present for the majority of the listings in this guide.

This is our first edition, so we know we will need to update the list throughoutthe year. Your community newspapers will update our readers through our onlineedition at www.JournalScene.com, www.BerkeleyInd.com andwww.OurGazette.com. In the meantime, please contact SummervilleCommunications if you have any questions or suggestions for next year’s edi-tion.

We hope that you find the 2012 Senior Resource Guide useful and it becomes avaluable tool for our seniors, our families and within the businesses who workwith the Lowcountry seniors.
