Math Learning Success CenterStillwater, Ok

Math Department My participation on this ongoing project has been interior space and furniture planning. This is one of the first three options presented to the client. This first proposal was on the First Floor of the Edmon Low Library at the OSU Stillwater campus. Now the project site has moved up to the fifth floor in where the latest proposal has been presented to the client.

This is the latest version we have worked on. The purpose of this layout is to keep the space as open and flexible as possible. Movable furniture will be used throughout the space to allow easy displacement. My latest participation was annotating the elec-trical and data information and creating an existing reflected ceiling plan for mehcani-cal and electrical engineers to review.

Stillwater, Ok

This is a project I had the opportunity to direct on my own. The client’s desire was to update the look of the Women’s Waiting Area and the Main lobby of the OSU Student Health Center. For the Women’s Clinic; a more feminine appear-ance was desired. Sturdier and better looking furniture was also needed. The goal for the Main Lobby was the replacement of the furniture and to provide a more efficient layout. I prepared the finish selection, furni-ture selection and furniture planning as well as a rough budget package to present to the client.

One of my tasks during this project was to develop renderings to show the clients what type of furniture were available for them to choose. In this case, two options are being presented to the faculty that will be using the facilities. The creation of these renderings allowed me to learn and become familiar with the Sketch Up computer program.

Value Place Design CompetitionOklahoma City, Ok

Value Place Extended Stay Hotel Team Competition was an excellent opportunity for me to learn to work in a collaborative envi-ronment. Working on a team project allowed me to develop my communication skills. It was an exciting experience because each member of the team participated on setting the final presentation. We discussed ideas and contacted manufacturers to order real samples to present to the client. We were given a budget to work with; and with the products chosen, we satisfied our client attain-ing second place in the competition.

My most significant input during this project was to build the 3D model using Google Sketch Up, search for furniture ideas and contact manufactures to request fabric samples. However, at the beginning stage of the project, everybody participated on the brainstorming process to come up with the final design solution, as well as, furniture and lighting fixtures selection.

We worked on the render-ings and on putting the presentation together.

Mission: To improve villagers’ economy and provide an extraordinary experience for tourists while protecting the wildlife.
