    Capital gains and losses

    Te purchase price includes any commissions or closing costs paid. Sales proceeds are calculated net of commissionsor other selling costs. When disposing of only part of a holding, use the average adjusted cost base per unit to calculateany capital gain or loss.

    Mutual fund purchases and redemptions

    Keeping track of the cost base of your non-registered mutual fund holdings prevents you from overpaying taxes whenyou ultimately sell your units. In particular, monthly purchases, automatic reinvestments and redemptions triggered topay fees aect the number of units held and the cost base.
