LWRC International™, LLC was founded to pursue the development of a short-stroke gas-piston operated version of the AR15/M16/

M4 family of weapons. Our research and development activities have focused on eliminating the inherent shortcomings in the direct

impingement operating system. These efforts have resulted in our family of M6™ short-stroke, gas-piston operated rifles and carbines,

which improve on the direct impingement system by operating cleaner, quieter, and with greater accuracy - and they do so with greater

reliability and longer service life.

LWRC INTERNATIONALADvAnCED RIfLE TEChnoLoGy

LWRCI™ has engineered a rifle with greatly increased capabilities over the

current mil-spec M16/AR15/M4 family of rifles and carbines. The principal

improvement comes from the incorporation of our patented self-regulating

short-stroke gas-piston system. This system eliminates the venting of hot, carbon-

laden gases into the receiver and bolt carrier group, thus eliminating the intensive

cleaning regime of the legacy rifle. It also means the bolt carrier group and

associated springs are not subjected to the searing heat of the tapped gases, this

being one of the major causes of small parts failure. This translates into carbines

that are far more reliable than the legacy direct impingement carbines, regardless

of user maintenance.

Another benefit of our short-stroke, gas-piston system is the improved handling

characteristics of our weapons over the direct impingement legacy weapons.

Recoil is lighter and muzzle rise is greatly reduced. Amazingly, this is accomplished

in a carbine that is ergonomically identical, weighs almost the same, and retains

80% parts commonality with the legacy direct impingement carbine.

The components of our piston system are machined from SPS alloy, a material

that belongs to the superalloy family. These superalloys are found in the aerospace

industry such as in the blades of gas-turbine jet engines. It is their ability to

withstand extremely high temperatures without losing their strength or becoming

fatigued which makes them an ideal choice for our advanced piston system.

But our revolutionary short-stroke gas-piston system

is only one of the improvements we’ve made in the

legacy carbine. Consider these value added features:

LWRCI™ rifles and carbines utilize cold hammer

forged barrels made out of 41V45 steel alloy (per

Mil-B-11995E) and treated with niCorr™ surface

conversion technology. Cold hammer forging takes

a gun-drilled barrel blank and high pressure rotary

hammers compact the barrel blank over a mandrel.

This forms perfect rifling devoid of tool marks. It also

compacts the molecular structure of the metal

making it denser and stronger. These barrels can

take a lot more use and abuse than a standard barrel

before any degradation in accuracy or loss of

velocity. NiCorr™ surface conversion has proved

more lubricious, harder wearing, more heat and

corrosion resistant than the hard chrome normally

used in the bore. Plus, NiCorr™ is used not only for

the bore but over the entire barrel. Our barrels can

handle 20,000 rounds before replacement, as

compared to 6,000-10,000 rounds on a standard

M4.

Another advantage found in LWRC International

rifles and carbines is the patented nickel-alloy coating

used on our bolts, bolt carriers, barrel extensions,

hammers and triggers. This coating creates a

greaseless, permanently lubricious surface that’s

harder than the substrate itself and unlike chrome,

conventional coatings and applied lubricants, it

never rubs off, thins out, or builds up crud. This same

proprietary coating is in use by USSOCOM to extend

the service life of their advanced weapons systems.

All of our weapons chambered in 5.56 NATO and

6.8 SPC feature our Advanced Combat Bolt (ACB).

It features a fully supported bolt face (no undercut

for the extractor as on a mil-spec bolt), a whale tail

extractor that features two springs instead of the

one on a mil-spec bolt, a bolt face groove to collect

dirt and brass shavings that might otherwise prevent

a cartridge from fully seating, and the nickel-boron

coating that provides permanent lubricity and

unparalleled wear resistance.

All of these enhancements mean that you have a

bolt that will last for 20,000 rounds as compared to

6,000 rounds for a mil-spec bolt. With a mil-spec

bolt you must change the extractor spring at 3,000

rounds and by 6,000 rounds the bolt has developed

micro-fissures and is worn out. On the ACB, we

recommend replacing the springs at 10,000 rounds

and because the ACB is made from a case hardened

steel alloy typically found in race car transmissions,

the bolt will continue to operate safely to 20,000

rounds and beyond. In fact we have never worn one

of these bolts out and have tested their reliability

with one spring and even a single half of one spring,

and they still function flawlessly. The ACB is the

ultimate bolt on the market.

LWRCI

LWRCI is proud to offer the option of Cerakote™

finishes. Cerakote™ is a unique ceramic based

thermoset epoxy finish that is applied over top of

the hard coat anodizing. It is extremely durable,

abrasion resistant, provides a perfect color match

among the parts, and offers a degree of camouflage

in a variety of environments. Our standard offerings

are flat Dark Earth (fDE), Patriot Brown, and

olive Drab Green. The FDE guns with FDE furniture

are much cooler to the touch when exposed to

direct sunlight than are the black guns: an excellent

choice for warfighters in desert environments.

olive Drab flat Dark Earth Patriot Brown

We are constantly researching the latest technology

to bring our customers the most reliable, the most

durable and the best handling rifles and carbines in

the world. Unlike many of our competitors, we are

not new to the piston game. We are the original

piston driven AR and we’ve learned from over a

decade of incremental improvement. If you want the

most technologically advanced rifle on the planet

and the best value for your money, the choice is

easy: LWRC International.

M6-SL™

The new M6-SL is a replacement for our base model

M6 rifle of old. The SL, which stands for, ‘stretch-

lightweight’, incorporates everything a shooter needs

in a quality lightweight base model rifle. Price and

weight were the most important factors when

developing the SL. With the M6-SL, LWRCI has

brought to the market the lightest factory piston

driven rifle to date.

The SL comes standard with Magpul MOE furniture.

A MOE mid-length handguard, MOE stock, and MOE

pistol grip provide excellent handling characteristics,

while minimizing added weight. The SL utilizes the

‘stretch’ or mid-length piston system, providing a

more direct recoil impulse for faster follow-up shots.

-SLM6

The most distinct feature of the SL is the light contour

barrel. The barrel still utilizes LWRCI’s NiCorr surface

conversion technology on a cold-hammer-forged

barrel, but the barrel is of a smaller diameter to reduce

weight.

The SL comes standard with the EXO (nickel-boron)

plated Advanced Combat Bolt, one piece EXO

coated carrier, and the EXO coated enhanced fire

control group. The SL also comes standard with a

Daniel Defense A1.5 fixed rear sight and a fixed A2

front sight post.

The SL is a great addition to the LWRCI family of rifles.

It provides users with an extremely lightweight rifle

that incorporates our patented short-stroke piston

operating system, has all of the advanced coatings

that make our rifles the best in the world, and does so

at an entry level price.

M6A2 SPR™

The LWRC International Special Purpose Rifle (SPR)

is the epitome of a well-balanced and fast pointing

tactical carbine. The rifle uses a lightweight sculpted

rail derived from our REPR platform. The SPR-MOD

rail, at 12” in length, is 33% longer than our Mark

II-B rail, but incredibly, is still 5% lighter. The cold

hammer forged barrel is spiral fluted prior to being

treated with our NiCorr surface conversion process.

The spiral fluting shaves 20% of the weight off the

barrel and relieves the longitudinal stresses that can

cause the stringing seen in conventionally fluted

barrels. The weight reduction in the front end and

the svelte wrist of the user configurable rail, make

for an incredibly well balanced rifle.

The SPR features our enhanced fire control group.

The fire control group, the bolt carrier and the

bolt are all coated in our proprietary nickel coating

that promotes permanent lubricity and allows

the operator to run the gun nearly dry when the

situation requires it. The piston system is our mid-

length system, which provides a more direct recoil

impulse for faster follow-up shots.

M6A2™

The M6A2™ rifle is a standard carbine available in

various barrel lengths and in either 5.56mm NATO

or 6.8mm SPC. The M6A2™ rifle is ideal for those

who employ optical sights as it employs a low-

profile gas block. There is no A-frame front sight to

obscure the field of view of the optical device. The

M6A2™ rifle also features a longer mid-length free

float rail system with a removable return to zero top.

Any M4 MIL Std 1913 accessory can be mounted to

the rail, and because the rail has a monolithic profile,

you can bridge devices from the receiver to the rail

seamlessly. The longer rail also affords more 1913

“real estate” to mount your accessories.

The M6A2™ rifle can be used in various roles. With

the 10.5 inch barrel, it is ideal for close quarters

battle or fighting in built up areas. The 14.7 inch

barrel M6A2™ rifle is an excellent general purpose

carbine capable of effective fire out to 600 meters.

And with the 16.1 inch barrel the M6A2™ rifle can

be used as a Squad Dedicated Marksman Rifle.

The M6A2™ rifle’s edge in capability, reliability,

accuracy and long service life is the result of

advanced technology materials and manufacturing

processes, combined with progressive patented

designs. All LWRCI™ carbine systems feature our

M6A2

short-stroke gas-piston operating system. The

operating system is lightweight, self-regulating, and

self-scraping. This system of operation does not

foul the moving parts of the weapon with carbon

or heat which greatly enhances service life and

reliability while decreasing both user and armorer

maintenance. All M6A2™ rifles feature a match

grade, cold rotary hammer forged barrel with a

target crown. The barrel is treated with NiCorr™

surface conversion technology that extends service

life, enhances accuracy, and increases the effective

range of the weapon. As in all of our rifles, the

bolt carrier group and the barrel extension of the

M6A2™ rifle is coated with EXO’s patented nickel-

boron surface conversion technology that provides

a hard permanent lubrication to the moving parts.

The M6A2™ rifle defines itself as the most modern

and incrementally evolved carbine in the world. At

the same time it also presents the best value. Service

life is extended to four times that of a legacy M4,

accuracy is 100 percent better, and our M6 rifles

are many times more reliable than the legacy gas-

impingement design.

Why 6.8mm SPC?

The 6.8 x 43mm SPC round was developed to address

the well known terminal performance problems of the

5.56mm M855 62gr “Green Tip” ammunition and its

failure to rapidly incapacitate opponents in a timely

and decisive manner.

6.8 SPC was designed and developed by warfighters

for warfighters. The round was designed to give much

better terminal performance than the 5.56mm round,

without the increased recoil and the much larger

weapon platform of the 7.62 x 51mm round. The 6.8

SPC has superior terminal ballistics out to 600 meters

and yet can be easily adapted to the AR style platform.

With the advent of newer faster burning powders and

superior projectiles, the 5.56 is rapidly making gains in

short barrel terminal ballistics. These specialized bullets,

coupled with fast burning powders, prove a devastating

combination. In fact, many of our Government customers

are choosing the PSD in 5.56 as their go-to entry guns.

ICIndividual Carbine

LWRCI’s new Individual Carbine was developed in

response to the requirements of the U.S. ARMY’s

Individual Carbine program. It features some radical

new features while maintaining the same basic M4/

AR15/M16 architecture.

The new IC and its variants feature our new fully

ambidextrous lower receiver. Dual controls for bolt

catch/release, magazine release, and fire control

mean that right and left handed shooters can use

the rifle to its full effectiveness. It also means that

IC

when the shooter transitions to their offhand side

due to barriers or injury, they can effectively

manipulate the controls without having to switch

hands. This new lower is compatible with all legacy

AR15 pattern upper receivers.

The upper of the new IC is a further evolution of the

M6A2-SPR platform introduced in 2011. It features

a 2-position gas block, user configurable rail

system, and a revolutionary new upper receiver

that has the mounting base for the handguard
