How much will college really cost me?

Three main types of financial aid ($$ help to pay for college) It begins with F.A.F.S.A (Federal Student Aid)

“Free” money $(based on your income, grades, interests, involvement in school… much more )

Student / Parent Loans

How do I apply?

• Pell Grant (Federal)• Map Grant (State )• Academic Scholarships (from

the school) ACT and GPA• (grade point average and

school participation) • Other Scholarships

Student Loan (can begin paying back six months after graduating college)

Parent Loans (begin paying back right away)

First, you must fill out the FAFSA application before you do anything else! Seniors only!!! As early as you can the year you are going to enter college (NOW!!!)

A few weeks after you have applied with FAFSA, you will be given a Expected Family Contribution # . This gives the university the information they need to process the other loans etc…
