If you lived in the Magic Valley in the 60s and were in a school or youth group, you probably made it to Skateland for fun with skates on the hardwood floor. Skateland is now just off Kimberly Road. Photographer: Lloyd L. Davidson

Some of the buildings on 2nd Avenue remain but the occupants have changed numerous times. Little is known about early Twin Falls photographer Jas W. Wheeling. His studio was located at 236 4th Avenue North.

This photo is said to have been taken by an unknown photographer in 1903. Milner predates the official founding of Twin Falls by one year. The Perrine and Burton general store was owned by brothers Silas and William B. Perrine, and their cousins, Silas and William Burton.Photo courtesy of Lloyd Libert.

This bank vault is the only landmark still standing on the old Milner townsite. Between 1903 and 1907, the town was developed to provide services, accommodations, and entertainment for the construction crews of the Milner Dam, and the Twin Falls and Northside Land and Water Company. The population was nearly 5,000, mainly living in tents. The townsite was demolished as the construction projects ceased. The last permanent structures burned in 1950.
