Eliminate Poverty NOW completed its second full year of operation in 2012. Building on last years momentum, we have

sustained and expanded our support behind every major project featured in our 2011 report and added several new

initiatives. In 2012 we funded 9 projects in 4 countries and further increased our capacity to get work done.

The mission of Eliminate Poverty NOW is to empower hard-working people in sub-Saharan

Africa, especially women, to lift themselves out of extreme poverty. Our overall strategy

is simple: give people the education, training and opportunity to earn more and improve

their lives, for all of their lives. Much of our activity is focused in rural areas, because thats

where most of the extreme poor live. And much of our activity is agricultural based,

because farming is primarily what rural people do.

We are particularly excited about two transformative projects which look to make

fundamental change in critical areas on a national scale.

Farmers of the Future seeks to transform how farming is viewed and practiced

in Niger. It introduces modern agricultural practices to primary school children while

sowing seeds of change among adults. With strong support from the National Ministry of

Education and local community leaders, our goals are to help rural villagers escape the poverty of subsistence farming,

increase income and reduce hunger and malnutrition throughout Niger.

The Songhai Womens Capital Fund, in partnership with Benins Songhai Center, is creating real life examples of what

talented and motivated women can achieve when given the opportunity. Over the next 10 years, hundreds of women will

create successful ventures and generate income for themselves, their families and their employees. They will inspire other

talented women to follow in their footsteps and change the role that women play in the home and the community.

Youll see highlights of these and other projects in this years report.

    Executive letter (page 2)

As the scope of our project activity expands, our ability to get work done needs to keep pace. Weve made progress on both sides

of the Atlantic. In 2012, we hired a full time general manager in Niger for Farmers of the Future to provide focused attention on

this ambitious project. We added a Director of Operations in the US to help support a steadily expanding workload. And we

received a grant from NetSuite, making their powerful integrated software available to us at no charge. This software greatly

improves our ability to operate and will support our growth for years to come.

Our Board of Directors remains committed to covering all administrative expenses so 100% of public donations goes directly to

    support project work in Africa.

Eliminate Poverty NOW is blessed to work with a talented and dedicated group of partners in North America and Africa. These

are remarkable people doing remarkable work. They devote their lives to bettering the lives of others. Their passion and

commitment constantly inspires us. Its a privilege to work with them, empowering people to better their lives and create

    sustainable change.

We hope you enjoy reading about our progress in these pages and, as always, will work hard to earn your continued trust and

    support.
