The elevated strength of this tube comes from internal cross-bracing that is added to this butted tubing. This internal cross-bracing allows for stress on the tube to be distributed over larger areas than w/ a traditional butted tube while keeping the appearance of a “regu-lar” tube. In addition to stress the Helix design provides greater resistance to denting than traditional tubes w/ no extra weight gain.

The standard double wall rim has evolved over the years; making it stronger to meet the demands of todays street riders. The taller U shape provides more material increasing the strength of the rim.

Hydro forming a chromoly tube is the advanced process of blasting water into the tube to give it a precise shape. The shape we chose has proven to be both stronger than conventional tubes and aesthetically pleasing.

The Pop-N-Lock has been in development for two years; working out the kinks to make sure it’s the best designed part it can possibly be. The durable polymer developed for the Pop-N-Lock provides protection to your Eastern and Nitrous hubs and is very simple to install.

Our top-of-the-line pro wheel features: - Eastern Venus 36H Hub- Low-Profile Hub Shell Specially Designed to Accommodate the Eastern Pop-N-Lock Hub Guard - Eastern Diode double wall 6061-T6 alloy rims

A wide Bottom Bracket does a few things that a normal BB can’t. One is to increase the strength by spreading the bearings out further, this removes the need for unneeded spacers. The wider BB allows for the chain stays to be spread apart further, reducing the radius in the bends increasing the tubes strength. This also provides more tire clearance for today’s wide tires & a stiffer rear triangle.

The crown pedal is the latest in our continually improving cfrp pedal. we have slimmed the profile and reworked the knurling to make a grippier and lighter pedal.

The benefits of reducing pieces and welds increases strength, thus allowing thinner materials to be used. This in turn, reduces the total weight of your fork.

The LowBoy is a handsome, wax-loss molded, integrated seat post clamp is featured on our higher-end completes. This feature not only looks great, but allows for a shorter seatpost. A shorter seatpost is a lighter seatpost.

Eastern developed a hub that could be used as right- or left-hand drive w/out any extra parts. This versatile design is also outfitted w/ a groove to fit our Pop-N-Lock Eastern hubguard. Protect your spokes!

Options are always nice to have and per-manent mounts are sometimes a pain and unsightly. No matter how you set your bike up, our easy to replace brake mounts will have your bike looking fresh and clean.

That’s how long I’ve been with Eastern. I started as a

rider on the team and now I’m the Team Manager. It’s

pretty awesome thinking about how things were back

then and how they are now. Eastern owners, Jon Byers

and Mike Corley have been friends of mine for a long

time so it was easy to ride for Eastern Bikes. Riding for

Eastern and managing the team these past ten years

have been great. I’ve made new friends, seen a lot of the

world, rode some awesome places and I still love BMX

like I did when I started. I really couldn‘t ask for more.

WHAT GOT YOU STARTED RIDING? I wanted to race for some reason, but the track was closed by my house, after I had already bought a race bike. I saw DMC on TV airing a quarter pipe so I bought pegs and a gyro. Was hooked after that.

BEST PLACE TRAVELED: Aspen, CO. or the Netherlands or south of France. They all rule and pretty much every trip I go on is unique and exciting. I love traveling.

BEST EASTERN TRIP: Call I say all of them? Probably the best one and more recent was the Mega Tour 9. I rolled my ankle at the end but that doesn’t even matter. We had a great crew, awesome spots and nonstop smiles.

1. Get your tools; two crescent wrenches, a 2’ OD washer that you can get from any hardware store, the guard and an Eastern or Nitrous hub with the Pop-N-Lock groove.

5. Put the Pop-N-Lock guard over the hub. Place the washer over the hub guard, holding it there while you get the axle nut that belongs on this side.

2. Remove the rear wheel from your bike and remove the axle nut from the non-drive side of the hub.

6. Hand tighten the axle nut to the washer and guard then take your wrenches and tighten the nut so that the guard pops onto the hub firmly. You will feel it give some as it “locks” onto the hub. Be careful not to over-tighten.

3. On the drive side tighten the lock nut to the axle nut with the wrenches. Then, with one wrench on the locknut you just tightened loosen the non-drive side lock nut.

4. Remove the lock nut completely. Do the windmill.

7. A backspin would be appropriate here. Tighten the locknut back onto the axle and use your wrench to snug it up to the bearing.

8. Installing the Pop-N-Lock is just that easy! Put your wheel back on, your hub is nice and protected now. Feel free to show off your moves without worry.
