AA

The Vibrostop AA series has been designed for loads from 10 to 9000 daN. One of its most important features is the multi directional reaction which guarantees an optimal response in all axial directions. The fail-safe design prevents detachment of the mounted appliance even if the elastomers should become completely destroyed. Very high shock overloads can be accommodated without detriment. The sheltered design also provides protection for the elastomer contributing to extended service life.

AAT

VIBROSTOP AAT damper is recommended for isolation of piping and ducting from ceilings, ideal for supporting tie-bars and conduits or special equipment to eliminate transmitted vibration. Fixed to ceiling or upper support beam, Isolated equipment hangs from mount. Used for Suspended HVAC, Ductwork, pipe-work, large audio loudspeakers.

ACR

The VIBROSTOP ACR damper is designed to solve specific vibration isolation problems which may be accompanied by abnormal transient stresses or by demanding safety characteristics. This mount provides a wide adjustment range such that the elastomer elements can be pre-stressed to regulate the rigidity of the system by altering the stiffness of the mount.

EXAGON

The VIBROSTOP EXAGON damper is suited to light structures subject to low frequency vibrations. It is also suitable for damping acoustic vibration from loudspeaker cases, or appliances where considerable elastic travel is required. Fixed to base, equipment or both or free-standing. Used for Instrumentation, delicate machines

G MOUNT

The VIBROSTOP G AV mount is designed to isolate heavy machinery with a stable centre of gravity position (i.e.C of G height less than shortest base length and C of G centralised between mounts.) The G/BPD is covered with a bonded VIBROSTOP BPD layer, which prevents contact between the machinery and the metal of the mount. The G/DS has a double layer of VIBROSTOP rubber and is advised when a lower natural frequency is required

FLEXOBLOC The VIBROSTOP FLEXOBLOC damper consists of a rubber block, chemically bonded to metal plates carrying holes or slots for simplified mounting. Its efficiency and long life make it a perfect choice for delicate machines and building and acoustic isolation such as required in sound studios. Used for Compressor, engines, pumps, air conditioning units, fans, electrical appliances, machine tools, isolation of suspended floors in sound studios

GSA The VIBROSTOP GSA damper consists of a rubber block, chemically bonded to a round upper plate and fitted with a rectangular lower plate. The lower plate is also fitted with an anti-skid plate with holes for easy assembly. It is a perfect choice for electrical appliances, delicate machines and special purpose equipment.

SP MOUNT These large solid rubber mounts have a mounting flange with fixing slots and a load spreading top disc both of which are chemically bonded to the rubber material. The smallest mount in the range (the SP 8050) also has a chemically bonded intermediate flat steel ring in some variants to achieve a wide performance range. The supported load should ideally cover at least 80% of the top plate and the male thread is for tightening the load down to the mount and not for jacking up for height adjustment. Any Height adjustment should be provided using shims or washers. All models are now available optionally in 316 Stainless Steel and with alternative thread options including female versions.

MM Vibrostop MM AV mount was developed for military (Naval) applications and as such combines use of specially formulated elastomers and stainless steel to produce a mount fit for the most demanding requirements and tests up to 40g shock result in zero failure. The robust design, coupled with strict manufacturing control procedures results in an AV mount with multi-directional performance which is second to none, secured to both isolated equipment and floor or sub-base. Used for Military (Navy, Air Force, Army) classified. Mobile applications where a fail-safe style is essential

MOFLEX The Moflex range of flexible flanged pipe joints cover a range of standard pipe work flange sizes and are designed to reduce transmitted vibration. These mounts also accommodate thermal expansion, water hammer and other causes of axial or torsional deformation within a pipe work system. Suitable for temperatures between -10degC and 95degC and working pressures up to 10bar (145 p.s.i.). Internal fins reduce turbulence within the joint and promote laminar flow resulting in minimal pressure loss.

PNEUMOFLEX

Vibrostop Pneumofix is an adjustable air spring mount which can be connected in parallel to provide a balanced supporting platform for the most sensitive equipment. Low pressures are employed (max 1 bar relative to external air pressure) Up to 100Kg per mount may be applied These mounts are typically fixed to a base plate and have a further plate resting on top of the mounts onto which the equipment is placed. The latter plate can be considered as an inertial mass to further improve the reduction in shock effects and vibration isolation

R4 MOUNT

The New R-4 series of Neoprene mounts has a fully encapsulated metal base and top plate (tapped M12) for exposed applications. The initial range is for up to 700 or 1000Kg loading but 1400 and 1800Kg mounts will be on-stream shortly. Nominal (optimal) loading is based on 6mm deflection. Further models are being introduced to cover a wider range of loadings. Alternative female thread forms maybe possible also.

TSZ

Designed for the most extreme applications where very high shock overloads must be accommodated the Vibrostop TSZ range is the largest mount in our standard products range. The design also incorporates integral failure safety. (see cross section view in dimension sketch) and allows optimised model selection by virtue of the elastomer choice and sizes available providing a range from 400 to 20000daN

TSMARE

Vibrostop TS Mare mount features an adjustment mechanism which caters for minor level corrections and also enables the stiffness of each mount to be adjusted by compressing the 2 rubber elements. The design features a high shock resistance and acts equally to vibrations in all directions.

VPX

Utilising shear forces, this Vibrostop mount provides a relatively large deflection for a given load to optimise isolation efficiency. The Vibrostop VP series mount has a plain central hole, whilst the VPX mount has a tapped hole. The size range and alternative materials provide a wide load supporting range from 50 to 1200daN For mobile applications, fail-safe designs are also available such as the E-Marine and E-EGA series as are 4 hole fixing versions.

PEDESTAL MOUNT

This small highly versatile mount can be used as a conventional compression mount for loads between 5 and 60Kg per mount depending on the rubber hardness selected. It can also be used as a fail-safe suspension mount by suspending a load from below and using a suitable washer and lock-nut above

SUPERFLEX

The Vibrostop SUPERFLEX mount provides a large deflection under load and has a low natural frequency making it particularly suited for mounting delicate instruments. The smallest in the range (Superflex1N) has steel inserts bonded to upper and lower surfaces and has 2 mounting holes in its base.

NRSC

Sometimes known as the double ‘U’ shear mount, this design features 2 ‘soft’ axes where the rubber is deformed in shear, and one firm axis where the rubber is in compression. Suitable for isolating vibration caused by low speed machinery and shock protection for sensitive equipment.

FLANGED HIGH DEFLECTION RANGE A range of high deflection mounts has been added to our range targeted at applications requiring higher deflection than normally provided by solid rubber based mounts The range includes variants with blind and through tapped holes in the top plate in addition to plain through holes requiring a nut for assembly.

BPD MAT The BPD anti-skid mat features a good absorption of vibration and an effective sound-deadening effect with minimal thickness. The BPD ‘mat’ is highly flexible due to the bi-directional square section cross grooving on both sides. Available in two thicknesses and in two different standard rubber grades The BPD can be fitted between isolated equipment and floor.

ELASTIC WASHER

The E-AEB-115 Elastic washer is designed for heavy plant installation. Each mount can be loaded to 1500Kg. If additional isolation is required, these mounts can be stacked to provide additional deflection and hence additional isolation These mounts can be used in compression either singly or in multiples. Where a through element is used, these can also be used very effectively as fail-safe isolation hangers for heavy equipment

BOLTED THROUGH ISOLATOR

The items in this section provide for fail safe fixing combined with vibration isolation. They avoid the common error of simply passing a bolt through rubber matting which typically results in the transfer of vibration through the bolt. These solutions separate the through bolt from the items being isolated.

M10 ISOLATION BUSH This isolation bush (sometimes referred to as a T-Bush) is intended for an M10 through bolt through an installation diameter of 20mm. These are intended to grip an isolated member of 6mm thickness although thinner elements can be accommodated using nylon spacer washers as shown in the installation picture below. In this picture the red plate represents the isolated feature.

SWR This range of high deflection anti-vibration sandwich these mountings covers a standard compressive load range between 50 and 1200Kg per mount. .Optimum deflection is 15mm thus providing very high levels of isolation (97% @1500rpm or equivalent forcing frequency. The different designations R1 to R7 are created by using different cross sections (68, 98 or 112mm see *) and also different material hardness’s.

BOBBIN MOUNTS A very wide range of standard bobbin style mounts are available many from stock or on short delivery. In addition we are able to manufacture special versions to any dimension, with any thread combinations, any metallic material and from a wide range of natural and synthetic rubber materials. For a quotation, please provide details of the application and anticipated loading, together with quantities required. This can be provided by e-mail.

CONIC MARINA As with the CONIC mount, the load acting along the axis of symmetry causes a compound stress due to internal air pressure and compression/shear within the elastomer. The result is a very useful progressive damping effect. The overall design provides for high deflection under load and a low natural frequency making this mount suitable for shock loads and/or low disturbing frequency applications. The original application for these mounts was for the Italian Navy, to suit demanding and severe conditions requiring exceptional qualities of strength and durability together with other special features..

CONIC

The VIBROSTOP CONIC damper consists of a hollow rubber body in the shape of a truncated cone, fitted with two fixing studs protruding from the larger and the smaller bases. Thanks to the original VIBROSTOP design, the load acting along the axis of symmetry causes a compound stress due to internal air pressure and compression/shear within the elastomer. The result is a very useful progressive damping effect. The overall design provides for high deflection under load and a low natural frequency making this mount suitable for shock loads and/or low disturbing frequency applications.

RLF

The RLF mount provides for a large deflection under load compared to solid rubber mounts for applications with relatively low disturbing frequencies (down to 12.5Hz) or for shock protection for delicate instruments. By virtue of the design, the deflection for given loads is different in each of the primary axes. This mount is designed for use in compression, shear, torsion or any combination. It is not designed for tensile loading. Used for Slow speed fans, pumps, reciprocating mechanisms or shock protection for delicate instruments. Suitable for disturbing frequencies down to 12.5Hz

BUMP STOPS The original design comprises a bullet shaped end but numerous alternatives are now available based on single ended versions of other mount types. The plate mounted SP styles e.g. 8050NTP are suited to high shock forces and can be produced in various natural and synthetic rubber materials. For more information on these variants go to SP Mount or Bobbin Mount

AVAUD The AVAUD mount (Vibration-Damping, Anti-Shock, Differential), is the evolution of the AVAU Line which, by adding a second winding assigned exclusively to vibration-damping, is able to separately provide vibration and shock mitigation performance. In particular, the characteristic vibrational frequency is much lower than that developed under shock conditions. The models in the line are offered as standard, or calibrated to provide shock mitigation according to the MIL standards. Under normal loading, the inner set of wire is in action to support the isolated load. Under shock loadings after a certain amount of compression, the second set of windings come into effect so that under shock loading conditions both sets of windings are operative

CAVOFLEX The Vibrostop Cavoflex range is a development of the original helically wound wire rope shock mounts developed in the USA in the 1950’s and which have expanded from their original military uses to satisfy numerous additional industrial applications including of course modern NATO and MIL specifications. The design provides for vibration isolation for small amplitude forcing frequencies but is most commonly used as a shock mount where it excels due to its very high capacity for predictable deflection under shock loads.

AVAU The Vibrostop AVAU mount, is a novel vibration damping and shock control mounting comprising elements with a toroidal structure, and is therefore isotropic (equal in all directions at right angles to the top and bottom mounting surfaces). This design simplifies mount positioning relative to C of G of the supported mass.

FOOT

A standard hexagonal headed bolt is used in this mount for fixing purposes. Embedded within the rubber, and chemically bonded to it, is a large washer to maintain rigidity. Fitted to isolated equipment against flat surface secured with nut and lock washer provided. If adjustment is required a second large washer, plus nuts and locking washers are required as illustrated.

MACHINERY FEET

A range of machinery and equipment feet are available. Two basic styles are provided, both of which have some adjustment capability for fine levelling. The smaller sizes E-CAM-50 and E-CAM-75 feature a bonded element allowing the mount to be jacked when loaded by 7mm. The larger sizes have a separate rubber element which can be adjusted to by 10 – 15mm when loaded.

TSGE A simple foot with wide application for free-standing items. Screwed into threaded insert in equipment to be isolated or fixed through plain hole with nut. Used for machinery, air conditioning units, engines, pumps, fans, electrical equipment.

ENCLOSED SPRING MOUNTS

For ultimate isolation performance this range includes the DM and DH styles which provide spring compression up to 50mm. To eliminate spring buckling, duplex springs sets are arranged in series separated by a steel plate Un-necessary pre-travel is eliminated and stability is assured in this range as the mount is assembled in a pre-compressed condition. They also features level adjustment such that the installation can be maintained perfectly level even if all mounts are not subject to exactly the same loading. 99% isolation can thus be achieved at frequencies as low as 14Hz (840rpm)

MOPLA SPRING MOUNTS The Mopla 5 range comprises 5 steel springs mounted within elastomer top and bottom spring retainers/covers. The range covers static loads from 12 to 920Kg per mount and, with numerous spring rates available, it is easy to select mounts to suit non-uniform load distribution whilst maintaining uniform deflection. These mounts have a relatively high deflection under load and low natural frequency.

BUSHES

A wide range of standard versions are available providing characteristics to suit diverse applications. They are commonly used in automotive applications for suspension system linkages or leaf spring mounting, where some degree of movement is desirable. This bush design provides for displacement in a combination of radial, axial, torsional or conical loadings.

RUBBER BUSHES

Various shaped rubber bushes are available as standard items whilst special requirements can be made to order. . Where tooling is available any of our standard rubber compounds may be selected. May be a loose fit on assembly or pressed into place. Also, the act of assembly may compress the rubber against mating surfaces to eliminate ‘play’ or to provide a pre-load.

STEERING COLUMN BUSH These special bushes are designed for use in automotive steering columns to reduce vibration transmission. The Acetal resin liner provides for a close fit with the steering column shaft whilst minimising friction and radial play. The liner locks in place when fitted to eliminate axial displacement.
