Welcome…..We would like to invite you to the 2012 AUTUMN CLASSIC SHORTHORN SALE. This year
we are offering for sale 20 lots of top Shorthorn genetics. It is quite the lineup of excellent show prospects for next year, and breeding stock that will lead the future for your herd.
The future success of any breed is often measured by the juniors involved. In recognition of that we are very pleased to offer a Junior Incentive Purchase Program. The details are outlined below. We hope to see many juniors sale day; this is the time to buy!
We would also like to take time to express a sincere thank you to all past supporters of the Autumn Classic. It is because of you that the sale momentum and success continues to grow.

Junior Incentive Purchase Program…..Any junior who purchases at the 2012 Autumn Classic Sale and registers the animal in their name will receive a 10% discount off the total purchase price at the time of payment. To be eligible junior members must be 21 years of age or younger, in conjunction with the Canadian Shorthorn Association, and reside in a Maritime province.
Terms & Conditions…..TIME – Saturday October 20, 2012 following the Hereford and Angus sales beginning at 12:30pm.
TERMS OF SALE - Are cash (cheques accepted) unless previous arrangements are made with owner. Owner has one protective bid.
GUARENTEE – We hereby guarantee that subject to proper treatment, care and exercise, all animals are warranted to be breeders. In the event of an animal proving to be a non-breeder, after receiving proper care and attention, we agree to supply the purchaser with an animal of approximately equal age, quality and breeding, or to refund 90% of the purchase price, providing the purchaser files a protect and proof in writing with us within six months of the date of sale, but we may if we desire, have the animal returned for a retrial for a period not to exceed six months. If the animal proves not to be a breeder then the purchaser receives the substitute or refund as stipulated above.
ACCIDENTS – Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sale manager, auctioneer or Shorthorn Association Breeders assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.
NOTE – The members of the N.S. Shorthorn Association or the Sale Management are not responsible for the errors in this list. Statements from the auction box takes precedence over printed material.

Due to health reasons the Workman’s herd needs to downsize. The cow offered today is one of the best with her daughters remaining in the herd. She has lots of milk and a tremendous background. She sells with her July 2012 red bull calf at foot. Workman’s Red Russ 3Z is sired by Red Rose Gold Spear Ruffian. This Ruffian calf shows what Bonnie Lassie can and will do for you. She is bred back to JDH Sodbuster.

It has been a few years since New View has consigned to the Autumn Classic and are so pleased to be back with this sweet heifer calf to offer. Her dam was the 2011 NS 4-H Provincial Show Shorthorn Champion as a yearling and she is sired by New View’s herd sire, purchased in the 2010 sale. Zoe will make an excellent prospect for 4-H next year. What a great time to take advantage of the Junior Incentive Program.
