Environmental Education (EE) can be either or both.

Near 50 words are used as a synonym either each, single, or combination to indicate Environmental Education (Hungerford 1980; 1983; Disinger 1985/86; Arbaat 1992; 2006;)

These goals are practiced in education, either FORMAL or/and INFORMAL.

Goals are revised, enhanced, and elaborated thru conferences by UNESCO.

INFORMAL EEINFORMAL EEYouths and adults (esp. NGOs), like

Scouts (Pengakap), EE is practiced INFORMAL way (outside school syllabus).

The teaching is informal (both TIME and GRADES are NOT emphasized).

“Students” learn at their own time.Lately, Environmental Education (EE)

has infused in and a part of the learning process.

CONCLUSION

EE Approach in Scouting adopts holistic approach

Informal education plays complementary role to the formal education in school.

The informal is another way of learning but should utilize all goals as recommended by UNESCO

It recognizes that it can only make a contribution to the young people.

It will promote the Earth to be the best and suitable environment for us to live.
