helpMembers cite specific examples of positively trending data to

New Mobile Interaction
DirectEmployers is dedicated to utilizing technology and providing
opportunitiesforMemberstobecomemoreinvolvedintheAssociation
and HR Community. As part of this ongoing commitment, the
Association has teamed up with a mobile technology provider and
launchedanewSMS(ShortMessageService)programforDEAM12
thatwillbecarriedthroughouttheyear,allowingMemberstotexttheir
questionsandconcerns.
Robust Webinar Series
Tobetterengageandcreateamorerobusteducationalexperiencefor
new and existing Members, DirectEmployers has improved and
increasedthevolumeofwebinarsheld.To-date,MemberServiceshas
plannedandexecuted20webinarscoveringawidearrayoftopicsrel-
evanttocurrentissuesintheHRfield.
Shortly after DEAM12, the Strategic Partnerships and Member
Services teams have planned a disability-focused two day webinar
eventonOctober30-31,2012.Thepowerhouse lineup featureskey
individuals in the disability community to discuss topics related to
Section503,brandinganddisabilityoutreach.
Improved Training and Education
MemberServiceswascompletelyrevampedwithafocusplacedupon
automation,efficiencyandeducation.Duringtherevamp,anewpro-
cessforMemberimplementationwascreated,aNewMemberGuide
wasdevelopedasaquickreferenceforproductsandservices,anda
newMembertrainingperiodhasbeenincorporatedtoensurecompa-
niesareknowledgeableandgainthemostfromtheirmembership.A
businessreviewwasaddedtotheprocessforexistingandrenewing
Membersaswell.ThistransitionperiodenabledMemberServicesto
broadentheawarenessofqualityassurancebyfocusingonconsistent
jobdeliveryandeducatingMembersonqualityjoblocations.
.JOBS Social Recruiting Platform
The Association launched the .JOBS Social Recruiting Platform, a
package that helps employers by providing customizable tools to
attractandengagerelevantcandidates,whiledeliveringreal-timecan-
didatetrackingandanalyticsduringtheapplyprocess.
Thismulti-stepcampaignbeganwithateaseremailtoMembersand
prospects,followedbyadirectmailboxcontaininganinteractiveUSB
drive connecting recipients to Info.Universe.jobs and a pamphlet
describingthenewrecruitingplatform.Thewebsitecreatedsolelyfor
thiscampaign, featureda .JOBSvideo, information, leadgeneration
form and advanced tracking to measure results. Roughly 2,100
Membersandprospectswereincludedinthiscampaignandtodate
theresultshavebeen:

increaseinboth.JOBSsalesand.JOBSMicrositerenewals,proving
thecampaigntobeaneffectivedriverofsalesand.JOBSawareness.
Enhanced ATS Relationships
HelpingbridgethegapbetweenMembersandATSproviderscontin-
uestobeanobjectivefortheAssociation.DirectEmployersisworking
withpopularATSproviderstoassistinareassuchasintegration,edu-
cation,SEO,industrystandardsandreporting.
Thisyear,DirectEmployerspartneredwithATSproviderKenexatocre-
ate a next generation product called Direct Connect that provides
seamlessintegrationwiththe2xBrassRingATS.Thisproductworksto
ensure the best possible OFCCP job delivery and syndication for
Members currently using that particular ATS. Looking toward the
future,DirectEmployers lookstocreatemorebeneficialATSpartner-
shipsthatwilldirectlyimpacthowtheAssociationreceivesanddistrib-
utesjobs.
Expanded Partnerships
Through strategic partnerships, DirectEmployers has been able to
expand the global distribution of jobs. TheAssociation continues to
haveongoingsuccesswithlargepartnerswherethereisapriorityon
breadthofoffering,globalfootprintanddomainexpertise.Eachnew
partnergainedhasbeenatthesoleinterestofhelpingMembersimple-
mentbestpractices.

theNPRMforSection503throughtheRecruitmentRegulatory
ComplianceCommittee(RRCC)toassesstheimpactofthe
OFCCP’sproposedregulationsforindividualswithdisabilitiesand
submittedadetailedcommentlettertotheOFCCP
• DirectEmployersandNASWApartneredtoinitiateandcreatea
nationalDisabilityOutreach&EmploymentPartnershipprogram
aspartoftheNationalLaborExchange(NLX)
• AnewpartnershipwiththeNationalEmployerTechnical
AssistanceCenter(NETAC),whichincludestheEmployer
AssistanceResourceNetwork(EARN),andDirectEmployers
Associationwillhelptopromoteemploymentofpeoplewith
disabilities
• DirectEmployersandNASWAheldatrainingsessionwiththe
OFCCPandtrainedapproximately250complianceofficersonthe
NLX,receivingpositivefeedbackandsupport

LiaisonGroup’s(NILG)BoardofDirectorstodiscusstheNLX,
includingrecentdevelopmentsandtrainingwiththeOFCCP,and
toexplorepartnershipopportunities
Progression of the National Labor Exchange
After an extensive redesign period, the ProductDevelopment team
transitionedtheNationalLaborExchange(NLX)fromJobCentral.com
tothenewaddress,US.jobs.Thewebsitewentthroughanextensive
redesign including logo,mark and overall site design to provide job
seekerswithaimproveduserinterfaceandfunctionality.
AftertheNLXtransitionedtoUS.jobs,theAssociationwashardatwork
creatingjobbanksforPuertoRicoandGuam,eachtobehostedonthe
US.jobsplatform.PuertoRico’snewstatejobbank,PuertoRico.US.jobs,
willlaunchtheirEnglishversioninmid-October.ASpanishversionisto
bereleasedsoonafter,makingitthefirstbilingualUS.jobshostedjob
bank. Guam’s job bank, Guam.US.jobs, has required some intricate
customizations for different types of job postings their workforce
agencyneedstoidentify.Thedevelopmentstaffhasrisentothechal-
lengeandGuam’slaunchisscheduledforearlyNovember2012.
Upgraded .JOBS Microsite Platform
Throughouttheyear,the.JOBSMicrositeplatformunderwentchanges
both visually and in the backend programming. The changes began
withtheadditionofSchema.orgJobPostingMarkup.Theenhanced
supportforSchema.org’sJobPostingstandardfreesemployersfrom
needing to pay a job board or aggregator to publish jobs to U.S.
Department of Labor initiatives. In addition to the new job posting
markup, an ungraded job search engine was implemented on the
micrositeplatform.Thisnewsearchenginehashelpedtodramatically
decreasepageloadtimesandhascontributedtodoublingtheorganic
trafficformicrosites.
Inconjunctionwith thebackendchanges, the .JOBSMicrositeplat-
formwasvisuallyenhanced.Thesechangesbeganwiththeadditionof
BillboardHomepagesoneachmicrosite,allowingemployersadditional
branding and sponsorship opportunities. The Billboard Homepages
also boast impressive interactive hotspots that allow companies to
submit text and advertise hiring initiatives and any information they
wouldliketosupplyjobseekerswith.Staticpageswerealsocreated
toprovidejobseekerswithfullinformationaboutthecompany.Afea-
turedemployercarouselof logoswasalsoadded togiveemployers
anotherwaytopromotetheiremploymentbrand.
Anotherenhancementdoneto.JOBSMicrositeswastheadditionof
mobilefunctionality.Thisaddedfunctionalityhelpedreachjobseekers
on-the-go and allows them to share and apply right from their
smartphone.
The Future
Each accomplishment positions the Association for continued suc-
cess.Lookingforward,DirectEmployersaspirestoincreaseMember
involvement andMembership to expand the overall strength of the
Association.
