We invite you to join us for this timely conference on April 24 and April 25, 2012! Changes are in store for our seniors all over the state. The Medicare and Medicaid Eligible Services (MMEs) integration proposal recently released has many in the aging network very concerned. For years, AAAs have successfully served the oldest, frailest, and neediest citizens - but the current proposal changes the PASSPORT program. This conference will be an opportunity to form a collective response and unified front to ensure the final MME integration plan submitted is in the best interest for seniors in Ohio. Attendees will hear from Director John McCarthy as well as Dr. Robert Applebaum who will bring a researcher’s perspective on the integration of MMEs. Additionally, o4a Board President, Suzanne Burke will put forth our policy platform followed by a Legislative Reception in the Governors Ballroom at the Sheraton on Capitol Square. Presentations by two national experts, Director Kenneth Munson and Research Scholar Laura Summer, will describe the driving forces on the state and national fronts that will affect how older people receive their health care and MME integration.
