Major
The Research and Information Unit is responsible for the planning and implementation of plans/programs/activities related to: promotion, advocacy and coordination of the implementation of the three point agenda, International Year of Cooperative (IYC), reproduction of information communication materials, Gender and Development Program, (GAD) strengthening of the Cooperative Development Councils (CDCs), and Gawad Parangal (regional Level) and Assists/Coordinates in the conduct of the Annual Cooperative Month Celebration (CMCs) at the regional and national levels.

Moreover, RIT Unit collates success stories from cooperatives, conducts processing of the application for Cooperative External Auditors (CEAs) and Accreditation of Training Providers and acts a LCDOP coordinator.
