During their visit to Hocking College last year the site review team from the Higher Learning Commission learned that many employees vvanted greater participation in the decisions strategies processes and procedures of our institution In September 2013 the Commission wll conduct a follow-up visit to assess how VLeuroII VLeuro have moved forvvard in our efforts to make shared decisionshymaking a fundamental value that guides our services to the students VLeuro serve

One of the most effective vvays to meet this goal is through greater participation on either newor existing college committees Below is a link to a survey for you to complete vt7ich provides you wth a roster of these committees and invites you to rank your interest in serving on one or more of them You wll also be asked to identify vt7ich committees you may have already joined and to suggest other committees you lMJuld like to see in the college

Committee Charge To assist in creating and evaluating a plan to effectively deliver and monitor placement testing retention strategies and degree attainment of students in need of developmental education service

Committee Charge To serve as an advisory committee to the President and Provost in assessing overall campus climate evaluating campus communication strategies and recommending interventions to improve morale and workplace engagement

Graduation Committee

Committee Charge To work directly with the Director of Co Curricular Education and other Student Services staff members in the planning of graduation ceremonies

__ Online Learning Committee

Committee Charge To advise the Director of Online Learning in implementing strategies to reach the Colleges goals for online and hybrid instructional offerings

__ Institutional Research Advisory Committee

Committee Charge To assist the Office of Institutional Research in providing data for planning programming and fiscal decisions covering a broad range of institutional responsibilities including admissions financial aid curriculum enrollment management staffing student life finance facilities alumni relations and others

__ Professional Development Committee

Committee Charge To assist the Director of Employee Learning and the Office of Human Resources in assessing the continuous learning needs of employees planning professional development activities for all faculty and staff and evaluating the effectiveness of such learning opportunities

Ellucian P01M3r User Committee

Committee Charge To provide recommendations to the College administration on desired enhancements and new modules for the Ellucian (formerly Datatel) ERP operations and to share solutions among employees who access and use our ERP in their regular work responsibilities

Committee Charge To review current practices and emerging trends in the use of administrative and instructional technology and recommend new strategies and acquisitions in technology to assist in both instruction and business operations
