RACE S T UDEN TS FEA TU RED

IN THE SUNDAY T IM ES

Two students from Raffles Academy of Continuing

Education (RACE) were featured in a special feature

in The Sunday Times on 19th August 2012. Ms

Rashoo Naseem, from Professional Diploma in

Fashion Marketing and Management, and Ms Julia

Lie, from Professional Diploma in Fashion Design,

expressed their satisfaction after enrolling into the

course.

Besides spending three days in school, Ms Rashoo

is currently undergoing apprenticeship at Les

Affaires for two and a half days. She said the

timetable provides a suitable mix of classroom and

real work experience for students. “I am confident

this programme will allow me to restart my career as

a professional in the fashion industry,” she said.

Julia is also optimistic about the programme and her

job prospects, “I’m really enjoying the course so far. I

get to apply my understanding and knowledge

immediately and effectively in the real fashion

industry, and see the results first hand instead of just

learning in a classroom.”

The second batch of students in RACE will start their

lessons in October 2012. The next intake will be

offered in January 2013.
