EclipseRGB combines LED and laser technologies, while ScorpionStorm FXGB overwhelms with huge coverage and intense beams ofblue and green. (I wont even mention the price advantage, whichwith CHAUVET is a given.)

So easy to use!I felt confident I was getting quality products even before openingthe sleek and informative boxes. Like a kid opening a birthdaypresent, I couldnt wait to get inside. I almost tossed the EclipseRGB in the air, since it weighs only 3.7 pounds. And the samewith the Scorpion Storm FXGB; these new lasers are so lightthat putting them up on my lighting stands is a total piece of cake!I checked out both cases and noticed the LED control panel on theback, a built-in microphone for sound-activated control, a built-infan and all the connections for DMX, power linking and powercords. Both lasers are variance-free and ready to use right out ofthe box. So, pretty much, thats what I did: placed them high upand turned them on. All I can say is, wow! These things lookimpressive. I like to use DMX, so I have the most control overthem. The Eclipse RGB uses 12 channels, and the Scorpion Storm FXGB, seven. You can also use them in stand-alone, orsound active modes. And if you have more than one of each,you can run them master/slave to make everything synch-up. Youcan power link 22 Eclipse RGB lasers, and 28 ScorpionStorm FXGB which is a great way to save time. A quick butimportant mention, I appreciate the intelligent way CHAUVET built

the Scorpion Storm FXGB, fully linkable to be able to linkmaster/slave not just with other Scorpion Storm FXGB lasers,but even with the Scorpion Storm FXRG. I cant wait to get myhands on a Scorpion FXRG to see how they work together!

In love with their effects So, what do these things actually do? Let me tell you: EclipseRGB combines a star field of red and green lasers with the intensecolors generated by an 8-watt tri-colored RGB LED shining throughan effect wheel that makes it look like a rippling northern lightseffect. Its the only laser product out there that Ive seen with RGBcolor mixing, and the effect is awesome. It makes a surreal nightsky effect that takes you into outer space. Depending on the com-bination of colors, it creates a whirlpool galaxy ripple effect, and ifI hadnt stopped staring into it, I would still be hypnotized. Also,the LED and lasers can be handled separately, to change the back-ground color only by using the high-powered LED. If you add allof the green and blue lasers from Scorpion Storm FXGB, you gotyourself an amazing show with only two lasers. With ScorpionStorm FXGB you get independent control of green and blue laserdiodes for true customization. You want more stormy effects? Acontrollable, high-speed motor increases the total number of effectsexponentially. Now thats an abundance of light!

Simple and valuableOverall, I appreciate both lasers for being so user friendly and foroffering so many features for the cost. Way to go CHAUVET! Bothare perfect just the way they are built. If you dont believe me, trythem yourself!
