Pennies for Patients Campaign Last week you should have received a letter from Mrs. Kalicki and the LLS in your child’s Wednesday envelope along with an individual collection box explaining how the campaign works. The idea is to collect any spare change in the individual collection box and bring it to their classroom, where the money will be deposited into a "classroom collection box". LLS is also looking for donated cell phones and they can be deposited in the Cell Phone Collection Box located in the Front Office. Each classroom will have its own temperature gage poster letting all students know where they stand in the campaign. The classroom earning the most money will receive a $50 gift card. The money we raise will support local cancer patients and cancer research at The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in trying to cure blood cancer. So start gathering all that loose change and old cell phones you have sitting around the house! Be sure to check out the Heroes poster displayed by the front office with local students and one of our very own teachers, Mrs. Mullane, who has been fighting against blood cancer! Let's help The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society make change, one penny at a time. Sincerely, Michele Zamora and Tatiana Walton LLS Contact at SEES

Valentine Smencil Sales These sweet scented pencils will be on sale before school on 2/3 and 2/10. Thank you for supporting our fourth and fifth graders.

Thank You We would like to thank the community and the San Marcos Fire Department (IAFF Local 4184) for making the Pancake Breakfast a great success! The San Marcos Fire Department generously donated their time to cook and serve our community a hot delicious breakfast! The kids had a blast making a craft, creating unique art on the chalk walk, listening to music, and getting their faces painted. We couldn't put on these events without our volunteers, so we would like to thank all the volunteers who helped put this event together! The proceeds collected from this event benefits the San Marcos Fire Department and SEES.
