community we are currently preparing for the holiday season but
we did want to let you know that we are continuing to work
through the new grading policy, the R issue, and PROJECTS that
are for major grades in each core subject your child is taking in
the 4th grade. Remember: Feel free to contact us by phone oremail if you have any questions or concerns you may have. We are

then took part in a pep rally where each community cheered and performed against drugs.

In Texas History, we just
completed exploring the First
Texans (American Indians).
Students enjoyed creating the
dioramas on the American Indian
tribes and their papers were
Fantastic! This six weeks, stu-
dents will explore the first
Europeans that come to the
Americas and their reasons for
coming to the New World.
Students will receive a project on
Explorers the week we come back
we come back from the
Thanksgiving Break.
Parents: Look For it!
UPDATE: The Texas Studies
Weekly Readers in HERE! Thanks to all the parents
who helped bring them into our classroom. Your
child will bring their copies home soon-(in sets of 7).
Over the last six weeks, students learned
about different types of energy, and
developed a circuit and an electromagnet.
It was fun, surprising and exciting to see
students engaged in what unfolded in theclassroom everyday!
Now the fun continues as we venture into
Earth Science and what our planet
contains. Students will identify what soil is,
its importance and what happens when our
planet ERODES! The opportunities are
endless when it comes to exploring our
