Happy Holidays!
On behalf of the entire 2010 - 2011 Fulbright Korea Infusion/Review staff, I want to
congratulate you on reaching the home stretch of the first half of your grant year!
With winter vacation fast approaching, I’m writing to share a unique KAEC
opportunity with you: the chance to be published in Infusion magazine and/or theFulbright Korea Review , two annual publications that showcase the work of current
and past grantees and scholars. I hope you’ll keep these opportunities in mind as
you commence with winter camps, travel, internships, homecomings, and the like.
Infusion Magazine
Infusion showcases recent grantee news and updates together with written and
artistic pieces by current and recent grantees and scholars. This is a forum for
members of the Fulbright Korea family to share their exchange experiences through
topic-based personal reflections, journalistic expositions, research presentations,
poetry, and photography. This year’s theme is “Adaptation,” a lens through which
we hope to explore the many experiences of transformation associated with life inKorea and Korea itself.
The Fulbright Korea Review
The Fulbright Korea Review , alternatively, is a collection of current Korea-related
art, in-depth scholarly research, and creative materials. Review welcomes
submissions that are more abstract in nature, less conventional, and/or of extended
length."
As a 2010 - 2011 ETA, I would like to personally invite you to submit work related
to your Fulbright experience in Korea. There is no limit on the number of items you
can submit for consideration; however, we ask that you limit the word count to1,500 per item for Infusion submissions and 2,500 words per item for Review
submissions. Your work should also be geared toward a general audience and be of
professional quality, given that Infusion/Review will reach a diverse and influential
readership—alumni, members of the State Department, current grantees and
scholars, universities, future grantees, and others.
Not sure what to submit ? Please find the attached “Infusion-Review Idea Generator”
for inspiration! You can also check out past editions of Infusion and the Review on
the web at www.fulbright.or.kr/en/fulbright/alumni_publication.php.
Please note that the submission deadline for both publications is March 15th, 2011.Please submit your work via email to [email protected].
I really hope you will consider submitting your work – this is a wonderful
opportunity to be published in an international magazine or creative/research
journal. KAEC publication looks great on a resume and gives the diplomatic,
academic, and creative communities around the world (Infusion is distributed in

South Korea, the United States, and many other countries) a chance to learn about
and appreciate your work.
Please feel free to contact me and our Managing Editor, Amy Larsen, at

receiving your submissions soon!
Best wishes,
