Reflections

To Our Moma, You never said “I’m leaving”

You never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it,

And only God knew why. A million times we needed you,

A million times we cried, If love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still.

In our hearts you hold a place, That no one could ever fill.

It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn’t go alone

For part of us went with you, The day God took you home.

Love, Your Girls,

April, Mia, Stephanie

very popular in a positive sense. May he rest in peace, my beloved son.

“Former President Bill Clinton, campaigning for his wife, Hillary, stopped in Kannapolis, North Carolina and visited at A.L. Brown High School.

I had to make sure that the campus was very clean and secure

for the Secret Service and his arrival.

How many people get the chance to have their picture made with a President of the United States? I was proud of this picture!”

Beloved husband, son, brother, friend of the world. Ben never met a stranger; living a Christian life every day. He had such a kind, sensitive heart. Ben knew all of his

There will never be anyone like Moses Benjamin Watson. You are missed, big Fellow.

Right now I'm in a different place, And though we seem apart, I'm closer than I ever was.... I'm there inside your heart.

I'm with you when you greet each day, And while the sun shines bright,

I'm there to share the sunsets, too. I'm with you every night.

I'm with you when the times are good, to share a laugh or two.

And if a tear should fall.... I'll still be there for you.

And when that day arrives that we no longer are apart,

I'll smile and hold you close to me, Forever in my heart.

Michael Linn Eldridge September 18, 2010

Michael Linn Eldridge may have appeared gruff to some but those who knew him remember him as a very caring person especially to his family and friends. But “friends” could be someone he just met but who had a need he could help fulfill. He is being remembered as someone who would engage you in conversation about yourself and show you he was genuinely interested in the information you were sharing with him. His students learned that learning how to think and how to use the facts he was teaching was more important to him than just learning the facts. Sharing his knowledge with others was more important than getting recognition for having that knowledge. Education of himself and others, organizing events or just thoughts at a meeting and his family-wife, children, grandchildren and other family members were what was important to him. And a good sailing outing or a train ride! We miss him daily but are grateful he was able to help someone through LifeShare.

Just Because

Just because I no longer stand in front of your eyes doesn’t mean you can’t see me. Close them, I am there. Just because I no longer answer when you call my name doesn’t mean you can’t hear me. Speak softly, listen carefully, there is my voice. Just because I can no longer touch your hands doesn’t mean you can’t feel me. Hold on to another, my arms are there. Just because I am no longer there to show you I love you doesn’t mean my love is gone. Place your hand on your heart, feel its beat. I am there. Know that I am with God. Know that God is with you. And in that we are still with each other. Just because. . .

Page 25: 2011 “In Remembrance, With Love”

Michael Ray Miller January 21, 2010

Mike was the type of person that if you asked him for a cup of water, you would get the ocean. God knew how much he loved to help others. We, as his family, find it so fitting that a man who loved to help his friends, as a final gift, was able to help strangers.

Mike was a wonderful man that we were lucky enough to know. Everyone loved him because he had a fantastic sense of humor. He had beautiful eyes and a smile that lit the room. He was an incredible father, husband, son, brother, uncle and a terrific friend. The world seems less friendly without him in it and he is greatly missed.

Page 26: 2011 “In Remembrance, With Love”

He loved unconditionally, lived life to the fullest, and left us way too soon!

Lydia Moore February 4, 2010

God gave us a little Angel named Lydia that was as beautiful as can be! We wanted to keep her forever, but God said that was not to be!

He had her here for a purpose, with all her angelic ways. She accomplished more than most in her way to short stay.

She prayed for people that most would have just passed by!! She laughed and giggled when she probably wanted to cry, if she had been you or I!

She came to us to teach us lessons too many to list. She was a loan from heaven that we would never be able to repay.

Hey, she would greet everyone (No matter where) O.K She would answer to every request, be it day or night.

A hug she would give to everyone with all her given might, A prayer she would say for everyone even if they were out of her sight!!

I’m sure in Heaven our Lydia is the happiest greeter, And the very brightest light!!!!

With sad hearts we mourn you, with joyful hearts we honor you. We love you for eternity.

Keep my memory with you, For memories never die. I will be there with you,

When you look across the sky. I will be there in the clouds, In the birds that fill the air.

In the beauty of a fragrant rose, You will find my memory there.

You will feel me in the tenderness,

Of a tiny baby’s touch. You will hear me if you listen, In the twilight’s gently hush. When your hearts are heavy,

And you feel that you are alone. Just reach down deep inside of you,

For you heart is now my home.

he would go far in life. From the time he was a little boy, Jim loved music.

He had a beautiful voice and played the guitar for all occasions. I am sure Jim is still performing and is in the Heavenly Choir using all his talents that

God gave him.

Rebecca Frances Preast March 14, 2010

She gave a special gift that day more than what you know. We say her gift to you but there is one that may not show.

A budding flame of God’s love is what she gave to me. Love for those we do not know and those we cannot see.

She was the vessel for Gods gift and only wanted in return God’s light to shine on you and on me.

Even though she could not stay I know that she can see Her gifts made you whole again and brought new life to me.

God’s love comforts us and carries us through. And I know one day we will also reach for God’s hand

and meet you in the promised land.

A Picture Of You

by Deborah Robinson

I only have a picture now, A frozen piece of time,

To remind me of how it was, When you were here, and mine.

I see your smiling eyes,

Each morning when I wake, I talk to you, and place a kiss,

Upon your lovely face.

How much I miss you being here, I really can not say,

The ache is deep inside my heart, And never goes away.

I hear it mentioned often,

That time will heal the pain, But if I'm being honest,

I hope it will remain.

I need to feel you constantly, To get me through the day,

I loved you so very much, Why did you go away?

The angels came and took you,

That really wasn't fair, They took my one and only son,

My future life. My heir.

If only they had asked me, If I would take your place,

I would have done so willingly, Leaving you this world to grace.

You should have had so many years,

To watch your life unfold, And in the mist of this,

Watch me, your Mum grow old!

I hope your watching from above, At the daily tasks I do,

And let there be no doubt at all, I really do love you.

Page 57: 2011 “In Remembrance, With Love”

Mz. Jaylen Jackson May 4, 2010

Mommy, I miss you and I love true. Mommy, please stop feeling blue.

I left you only for a short while,

And God will see to it that you walk that extra mile.

You are my mommy and God knew best He only wanted to put the family to a test.

Don’t cry for me, Mommy, for I am fine.

You will meet me again and it’s not the last time…

- Nisha Cunningham

My Lil Jaylen was our heart and soul. She was the center of our life and only God knows.

We love her and miss her so very much. Her hands and skin was such a lovely touch.

She was our princess here on earth and my daughter’s angel at birth.

We miss you , Jaylen.

Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be,

A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way,

We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know.

For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward,

And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.

Paul traveled through life making friends wherever he went. He loved to be outdoors – kayaking, camping, biking, cheering at Death Valley, or just walking his dog. He did it

all with exuberance and joy.

Larry Jay Smith January 13, 2010

The human heart, at whatever age, opens only to the heart that opens in return. Larry always had an open heart to help anyone. You can do the same by being a donor.

Narcisa Singzon Borg December 29, 2010

Ode to My Wife, Narcisa

She was Narcing to her family She was Narcy to her friends

She was Dottorre to her clients She has Honey to me

She counted her blessings every day Then she gave many of them away God will provide, she always said

There will never be a rainy day

She shared her joys, she shared my tears Our love grew stronger through the years

Amid the cares of married life I was so blessed with you, my wife

Her heart did never grow cold Her inner beauty did unfold

In spite of toil and worldly strife She was always a loving wife

Giving was always one of her joys

Whether a hot meal or a bunch of toys She always gave a helping hand Broken hearts she tried to mend

God has called her to His side

Heaven’s gates were opened wide Trumpets blurring long and loud

Welcome child you’ve done Me proud

She was Narcing to her family She was Narcy to her friends She was Dottore to her clients

She was Godsend to me

A love that grows so strong, even though the heart is broken They say you’ll never hear me, but it’s to your soul I’ve spoken

We are connected on a level that the world may never see You, your mommy, brother, Jaden and me

You have and always lift us up; higher and higher You will be with us always, our angel, fairy princess Baby Skylar.

Jamey Aaron Arrowood August 5, 2010

Jamey had a heart so full of love that it spilled over to so many people and left a wonderful legacy that we will always rejoice in. As Peyton expresses, “There’s so much to say that we can’t tell it all.” Jesse says, “I am so glad my daddy is in heaven because he doesn’t have gout anymore.” Both say that they have the best father in the world! Jamey brought so much joy to the world through his faithfulness to God, wife, children, family, friends and a true servant to God. We thank God for the joy that he has been in our lives! We all see him everyday because he made such a difference in the world. Jamey was loved by all who knew him!
