Getting Started - Home Page

1. To-Dos list centralizes all tasks to be completed. Tasks are organized by performance review process and date.

2. Menu tabs list all resources available to manager and employee.

3. Portlets display information on the Home tab for immediate reference to users

4. Goals tab stores Goals information.

5. Performance tab will contain all performance review forms.

Getting Started- Goals FormThe Goal Setting Form is like an online worksheet that records goals in one central place and tracks them throughout the year

Employee Hierarchy provides an organizational view of individual and teamgoalsWith the Goal Plan you can:•Create and edit goals•Cascade goals•View modification history

Forms can be edited by associate (self), immediate manager or HRBP

Getting Started- Display Options

Display Options provides the ability to select which fields you want to display in the goal plan.

With Display Options you can:• Select the fields to display• Show which goals are aligned up and/or down• Display alerts

Getting Started- Goal Categories

Goal Categories offer a way to assign goals to a pre-defined category.

Goal Categories available are MDCO’s 2011 Corporate Goals

With Goal Categories you can:• Better track progress of goals • Create goals aligned to business objectives

The individual goal will display under the appropriatecorporate goal it aligns to

Creating Goals with the Goal Wizard

New goals can be created with:• Goal Wizard button and/or• Create a New Goal button

With the Goal Wizard you can:• Access a step-by-step tool for setting SMART goals• Leverage tips and hints to write effective goals

Creating Personal Goals

With the Create a New Goal button you can select:• Personal Goal• Goal Library

With the Personal Goal option you can:• Add a goal by filling out the required fields• Assign goal categories• Specify start and due dates• Specify a metric value• Make a goal Private or Public (goals default to Private)

4. Determine metric- how you’ll measure success

5. Indicate weight of goal (percentage of 100%)

6. Choose start and end dates

Creating Goals with the Goal Library

With the pre-defined goal library, goals can easily be created and made more specific.

With the Goal Library option you can:• Leverage best practice goals organized by category• Modify the goal to make it more personal or specific

Cascading Goals

With Goal Cascading goals can easily be copied to other individuals.

With Goal Cascading you can:• Cascade goals from a manager to their employees and at each cascade, the manager can add specific activities they would like to cascade to their employees•Managers can make notes in the comments text box in the cascaded goal

Updating Goal Status and Progress

Goals can be updated to communicate status on performance

The status field is used to document status

Select the “edit” icon under the Action column to update an existing goal
