Understand cardiac cells as an example of an excitable system

Learn various models of electrical activity in cardiac cells

Learn some basic analytic techniques for analysing the models

Learn to use the CUDA architecture with NVIDIA graphics cards to program models on multi-processing systems

Investigate the development of spiral waves in cardiac tissue using Fenton’s minimal model in the CUDA-based architecture
