Your client Jenny has come in for a pedicure and a bikini wax. While performing the

treatment you accidently nip her skin and draw blood. You implement first aid and

hygiene procedures then carry on with the bikini wax. While performing the bikini

wax, you forgot to check the temperature and you burnt your client.

Criteria

You are required to:

Put together a description of all the policies and procedures you need to abide by

and also what measures you would take

a) before your client arrives,

b) during service,

c) procedure to mop up spills and bodily fluids including blood

d) OH&S and protective measures prior to waxing

e) your response and actions after waxing

Don’t forget to include all infection control, disinfection and sterilisation methods

where appropriate.

Your work should be presented on A4 paper. It needs to be typed and a bibliography

must be included.

Please state all sources of information in your bibliography. You may use the

PowerPoint but you must research and include at least 2 other sources of

information.

Layout:

Please provide a cover page stating the unit (as indicated at the top of the page), the

case study number and the Educator’s name. Your name and student ID should be

included on this page. If your case study is more than a page it should be numbered

and stapled together.
