Bullet Theoryo Each coach on staff is awarded four plastic bullets at the start of the fall semester.
We are allowed to have a tantrum at our discretion (practice, game, locker room, teammeal, scouting report, class check, etc.)
At the end of the day following the tantrum the individual coach must surrender abullet After four bullets are surrenderedNO MORE TANTRUMScoaching only!

Players are made in May, June, July, August, and September Three main keys to work on in individual workoutsball handling; pivoting; shooting W Dribbling
o Working on going from cone to cone as fast as you can with two balls Three Line Cone Drill
o Players start with a ball at half-court and complete the task instructed by thecoach
o Players do not stop until they have went through all three lines Three Line Chair Drill
o Players pass to coach who sets the ball down on a chairo Players pick up the ball and have to pivot/ripo Players can come from half-court (forward pivot) or baseline (reverse pivot)

Pull-Back Series Viking Lay-up Drill
o Three offensive players are necessary 01 starts with the ball in the middle of the floor 01 dribbles to wing and hands off to 02 who dribbles to opposite end of the floor to shoot
a break-away lay-up
01 goes to the block and curls around the chair at the nail hole shoots lay-up; vb line jumper; elbow jumper; step-off three
03 makes the pass to 01 01 gets his own rebound and goes to the wing to be a passerwhere 03 was 03 goes to the opposite side to be the player that will shoot the full court lay-up 02 goes to the center of the court after he shoots his lay-up

- Like to use an inside pivot foot for shot footwork
Reasons to play motion offense
- Teach players how to play not how to run a play
- Motion offense evolves with players talents- Mistakes are OK, if you are going hard
- Freedom of players to play- Unpredictable
Getting Open 1 on 0 with NO Ball V Cut- Catch and sweep
* Use V cut or L cut
* Catch the ball and sweep it through* Change of pace and direction on the cut
Option: add the ball
ApproxTime: 1 min
V Cut Back Cut 1 on 0 with NO Ball- Get the defense outside the 3 point line to set up
the Back Cut- Go slow to quick
- Use a low fist hand signal to let the passer know
you are back cutting
- Give a BIG target for the passer

- Get outside the 3 point line
- Down screen and then show to the ball
1 on 0 Screening Flare Screen Down Screen- Separate out after flare
- Slip to the ball after down screen
2 on 0 Screen Cuts (1)- Need 2 balls and 2 passers
- Screener comes back up the lane to look for shot- Curl cut down screen
Option: Can catch and rip and drive instead of jumpshot.

- Dont fade away on flare, maintain balance- Screener shapes up to the ball big target

flashing to the ball after the screen mix up your

- Dont fade stay in balance- Read the screen and get into the screen
Option: you can add a defender who goes over thetop of the screen
Motion Shooting Catch and Rip to Rim- Mix up finishes (pull ups, lay-ups, reverse lay-ups)- Add a shot fake
Motion Shooting Step Back Move- Catch with inside foot
- Shot fake
- Cross over step- Drive defender off with inside foot
- Stay in balance and dont fade
Step Back Counter:
- Crossover dribble, between legs, behind back- Utilize when defender closes out when you have
created space on the step back
Wing Attack Catch and Rip and Score- Mix up finishes
- Pound the dribble- Use either 1 dribble or 2 dribbles to get where you
need to go
