    Egyptian horn player

    Cairo into a musical family. At the age of eleven

    he joined the Cairo Conservatory and have

    been playing and touring with the Cairo

    Conservatory Big Band and the Symphony

    Orchestra in Italy, France, Germany, and

    Jordon for 10 years. At the age

    the 2nd Horn position with the Cairo Symphony

    Orchestra. Mr.

    Beethoven festival, Bohn, Germany when he worked with Ingo Metzmacher,

    the conductor of the DSO Berlin. He also have played with many great

    conductors such as; Daniel Barenboim, Frank Shipway,

    Mueller, Gunther Schuller. Mr. Selim was the Principal Horn with the

    Amman Symphony Orchestra and National Algerian Symphony Orchestra.

    He took advanced courses with Roland Horvath (VPO),

    (Principle of Frankfort Opera Orchestra), Corbin Wagner, Dave Emerson,

    and Bryan Kennedy (Detroit Symphony). As a chamber musician he has

    worked with coaches such as, Marc Reese, Ken Amis and Greg Miller from

    the Empire Brass, The Hindemith WW Qu

    Phil. At present Amr Selim performs teaching activities with Spanish River

    High School as well as a Private Teacher in South Florida. He also serves as

    Assistant Principle with The Symphony of the Americas, and Principle wi

    Ars Flores Orchestra in south Florida as well as many other community

    Orchestras. Mr.Selim is the Prize winner of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture

    Chamber Music Competition, as well as the Art Lovers Solo Competition in

    Egypt. He is currently doing his Professional Performance Certificate as a

    full scholarship student at Lynn Conservatory with Greg Miller. He got the

    Teaching Assistantship and full scholarship from Stony Brook University

    School of music in New York for the next two years while doing his

    Degree.
