other• Through user-created avatars• Differs from 3D gaming

eFresnoStateThis is the dispute resolution center at eFresnoState in Second Life. The avatar pictured is Ida Recreant, your narrator.
The center is designed to allow students to meet and learn how to resolve disputes.
Each group of students will be assigned a certain role. In the front of the space, students will be required make presentations—these could be PowerPoint presentations, but for example, they could also be role playing scenarios. The possibilities in Second Life are endless.
The associated website (which I don’t have pictured here) will be used for students to register and identify themselves and record their arbitration decisions.
Student arbitrators will view the presentations (either in real time or later), do research and record their decisions on the website in a database.
In the future, others will be able to view the presentations, evaluate and even vote on them. This is an example of how you can use Second Life.
