How it All Began

Wilson & Suzanne McOrist are entrepreneurs at heart. They’ve been involved in providing professionalservices to small business owners for over 8 years. From 979 to 986, they developed a servicebureau network of more than 00 centres. In 989, they launched the Express Bookkeeping franchise.This popular franchise grew into Australia’s leading computerized-bookkeeping network, with over 80centres in Australia and New Zealand.

In 997, Wilson and Suzanne founded Computer Troubleshooters. They saw the need for a franchisenetwork focused on the computer technology aspects of business. They were on to something big.The network quickly expanded to New Zealand, USA, Canada and is now in many other parts of the

world.

Computer Troubleshooters in Canada

Computer Troubleshooters came to Canada in June of 2000 when Roy Thorpe started Canadianoperations as the Regional Director for Ontario. Soon after, he was joined by Chris Aconley, RegionalDirector for British Columbia. In August 2004, Chris Aconley was named the National Director forComputer Troubleshooters in Canada. In 2006, we welcomed Donald Gray-Owen on board as RegionalDirector in Alberta. Chris’ mandate is to keep growing Computer Troubleshooters in all regions of thecountry.

A The initial franchise fee to join ComputerTroubleshooters is $9,500* Canadian plus GST. Youwill also need to put aside $3,000 for your initialmarketing campaign.

You may participate in larger IT projects and contracts that are bid on by a consortiumof franchisees and other IT professionals. You may initiate the project or someone elsemay identify the opportunity. If you see an opportunity that is too big, or you are unsurethat you can do it on your own, you can call on other Troubleshooters.
